  1. I'm going to get a giant black snake with some flowers going up my leg to cover it and another tattoo I have on my thigh. The one on my thigh is somewhat salvageable, but I would rather have something else at this point. I think that may end up being my next project after I finish an older piece that I've been neglecting for a couple of years. Cheers to wise decisions made as an apprentice, hahaha
  2. Welcome to the forum! The apprenticeship never does really end, eh ;) Care to post pictures of some of your work?
  3. ahhhhh, no, sorry... I literally do not ever wear shorts in public because of how embarrassed I am of that thing. It's a color portrait(yeah, seriously) of Pan from Pan's Labyrinth. The reference I gave the artist was from a scene at night, and the fucking tattoo has bright orange hair and whenever anyone does see it, they go straight to Avatar. I think you get the idea :)
  4. I think movie and TV tattoos can be really rad when they're done well. Unfortunately for me, the worst tattoo I have is from a movie... bah
  5. Did you check out the menu? It actually ain't too bad, you should join for the evening! Respectfully, though, no pressure. I know life can throw curveballs and whatnot.
  6. Excellent read, thanks for posting! Seems like a great dude.
  7. Also, just as a general practice, don't self-diagnose for anything. The internet is the last place to get answers to medical questions. Too many variables, 'what ifs' and potential possibilities. The internet certainly provides the quickest source of info, but by no means is that info reliable.
  8. Bubbling is a pretty gnarly word. I would go back to the shop, show your artist and express any concerns. They will tell you if your tattoo is just pissed off or if you need medical attention.
  9. Love this! The snake is killer. I'm such a fan of Boltz's work, it's everything that a tattoo ever needs to be.
  10. We miss ya too, was just talking about it the other day :)
  11. I also have plans for this! Not totally set on if they're actually going to be peonies or another flower, but hey... you have good taste :p
  12. Just so everyone is fully aware, John totally rules. We used to work together before he moved to AUS, and I've seen this guy do some pretty killer stuff with his paintings and tattoos. I think this will be a good thing :)
  13. Honestly, that subject matter is common across so many tattoos that it would be pretty impossible to pinpoint the artist based on that description alone. Do you have an idea of where the artist was based out of?
  14. -insert rant on people who don't tattoo making money off tattooing-
  15. @ian The breeding potential in fires are pretty amazing. I was doing a bit of reading about them upon looking into snakes I'm interested in raising. You've probably already seen this website, but there's a huge list of designer morphs that are pretty unreal. Constrictors Unlimited- Pythonregius.com - Designer Morphs Available Now In my experience, I think most snakes are pretty docile when they're well-fed and socialized regularly. I definitely want to follow your breeds, feel free to share progress! @Pleadco Aaahhh that's adorable!!!! I've always loved that about snakes, they have so much personality as far as reptiles go. Do you have pictures?
  16. @ian Those are gorgeous snakes!!! The Piebald and Black Pastel are unreal, I had no idea that there were so many varieties within the species. I don't know if you have ever heard of black-eyed leucistic ball pythons, but those are also quite striking. When living circumstances allow, I'd like to have a snake again. I understand that ball pythons are pretty social snakes, yeah?
  17. People say hella in socal now?!? I mean not that it really matters, but we used to catch so much flack for it from folks down yonder.
  18. Welcome to the forum! Do you have any ideas about tattoos you want to get?
  19. I don't prepare too much for small tattoos, other than making sure I've eaten. Big ones, I'll make sure that I don't drink the day prior, go to bed early, drink tons of water, eat a big breakfast, and bring snacks to the appointment. I also don't get tattooed on days that I have anything else I have to do. Go home, eat, water, sleep.
  20. Cool find, thanks for sharing! There's probably already a thread on tattoo history, I'll see if I can find it. I have a bunch of pictures that I've saved across knowledge hunts on the internet. I think tattoo history is so magical. I think mostly because it's not very easily accessible unless you know where to look, so when you do find some good stuff it's like you just found the golden egg.
  21. @Scott R ooohhhh congrats!!!! what did you name the nugget?
