For future tattoos, the aftercare/healing thread has some good info on overnight wrapping. Just be sure to clean it really thoroughly when the bandage is off to prevent irritation or infection. But yeah, keeping the initial wrap on can help with healing time, weeping, and getting stuck to your sheets.

Hm, have you thought about going with an artist who specializes in Japanese tattooing? Just being that the imagery you're looking for has strong roots in Japan, my initial thought is that it would probably look best rendered with a distinctively Japanese aesthetic, as opposed to a painterly realistic style. If you have 40 minutes, I recommend watching this: Marcus Kuhn's - The Gypsy Gentlemen - Home I think it will illustrate what I mean better than I could explain it.

I love this series so much. That was such an honest window into the life and work of Horiyoshi III and Shige. I could listen to H3 talk all day long, so much wisdom and honesty in connection to anything I've ever heard, seen or read from/about him. I kept pausing the video at every frame in the tattoo museum to get a good look at it all. Hanky Panky's hair, hahaha! I can't wait for part 2... I feel like every episode of this show really helps me put things into perspective in terms of my art, life and tattooing. It's really motivating and humbling, I dunno, I'm just really grateful for this effort.

I know I already mentioned that I'm game, but I'll throw it out there again. It would be really cool to meet y'all.
