  1. I left my fulltime career position to take on my apprenticeship full time lol..scared shitless.
  2. aat worrkkk And I'm ashamed to say that this is the only face-on picture I could find of myself.. *facepalm* I've gotten too old for camera-whoring self-portraits with duck face...lol
  3. what a lucky find!! I'm only 5'2" LOL... I have long legs ...so my upper body is basically useless LOL... my bike is just under 310lbs dry... haha... hubby's bike I can't even hold up for him while he looks at something, if it leans im done... I thought ironheads were heavier than that - but they are a lonng big bike compared to "The Nub" (My bikes sad nickname LOL)... Eventually maybe I will give it a shot and pass it off to hubby reluctantly if it's a no-go... but my height hinders me ..I'm stubborn but saftey first...
  4. i guess on a side note building on the last comment by tattooedgirl, in the past, dating the un-tattooed was a problem. a 2 year relationship of mine ended over me wanting a very large ribcage tattoo.... he did not want this to happen.. i left.lol. sounds fickle but it was my body - and i could see clearly that it was going to be an issue... I warned my husband when we started dating that if he didnt like tattoos he probbabbblyyy would be unimpressed with seeing me in the nude...lol... (mine are usually fairly covered but there are A LOT of them) . Luckily- he loves tattoos.. i think it throws a lot of men off when a woman does not apppearrrr to have tattoos... Im a kind of barbie-ish blonde girl with a love of pink and high high heals LOL... i get flack in the shop by men coming in thinking i dont work there...and or my lack of looking overly alternative somehow discredits me on some level?? kind of sad.. anyway where i'm going with that is that at some point, i think if you are heavily tattooed, or in the process, and your partner is not, and is never going down that road - it can cause HUGE problems... Also, if you are a woman an heavily tattooed, and the man does not realize it, that can be a shocker and an issue.lol. AND THEN my final statement: The kinds of partners that are often attracted to heavily tattooed people simply for that "look" are often headcases.... not our fault!!! but its a screening procress!!!! It sounds like many of us here are really lucky to have found good matches, but eeeeeesh I'm sure you've all seen it happen.!
  5. Ahhh Ironhead *drooooooools*. I wish I'd grown more *flexes* but unfortunately at my size I have no hope in hell of riding something that heavy :( Mannnnn do they ever have endless possibilities though... you can do so so so so much with an ironhead. I saw one kicking around here on kijiji... I was so tempted.. but that was a moment of personal illusion of grandeur lol.. and if i bought one there'd be no way in hell i'd let it be my hubby's bike...id kill myself on it LOL ps- i love the old saddlebags. looove.
  6. lol our shop is wedged between two bars and a tim hortons...life is interesting.lol.
  7. I think if we put out fliers we would end up with a bunch of D&D people and anime fiends... do you have it just open to tattoo artists or to everyone??:) I like that idea..I wish I was in your area!! I would love that kind of thing!! i like your positivity -i need that this week.lol. thank you:)
  8. Tattoos and bikes, they often go together. I'm rebuilding a 1986 honda rebel 450 into a softail bobber - its a fun journey. Slow goin's ordering all the parts from random places since they only made it for two years..but I love that damn bike..at my size it's perfect. My husband is just finishing up building a 1981 yamaha xs850 into a bobber.. honestly that bike shape has a really ominous and awesome look to it when you bare-bones it .. the ways you can custom and tweak it are amazing...another really fun adventure. TC bros = a godsend for parts. What about you guys? Bikes you have/ and or bikes you're building?
  9. lol my husband has my first and middle name in big custom swirly script letters on his Neck with a bigass diamond... people keep asking wht will happen if we split we've been through some crap with him being in the military..if you can make it through that u can make it through almost anything...but if it ever comes to that i will happy help him remove it with a cheese grater lol i have his name too it's not something i'd recommend to most people ? but there are some I dont think it's strange and or wrong at all eg- bikers. you are not going to stop bikers from getting old lady name tattoos. lol not gonna happen. just go with it.lol. culture thing.
  10. on a side note, tattooing your spouse or partner can be finickity... lol.
  11. Social politics plays a big role.lol - - - Updated - - - I deal with the same and have some work I myself need reworked and or covered... (on my own body) - - - Updated - - - is she an apprentice? If she's an apprentice than I understand. We don't all START at a high level
  12. wow to sergio sanchez... I love it when painters tattoo..it always comes together with just a little carry over at minimum.. I'm realizing a lot of my favorite work comes from painters
  13. I've seen that kind of stuff out of a shop ... where someone went to "school" to learn to tattoo, didnt apprentice...but I'm not linking, I don't want to rock the boat in my area..
  14. I am very tattooed..I always felt like the "bad girl you wouldnt want to take home to your mom" if i dated someone without a tonne of tattoos..incidentally I paid for my husband's first tattoo and now he has full sleeves and a start on a half sock by me.lol..fixed THAT LOL
  15. welcome:) from one forum newb to another lol
  16. Thank you! Thats a great idea , Im not so sure it would work here - it can be that far gone..but I wishhh it would - I would love to learn some little tips and tricks even just by seeing where they start to draw certain things - not to copy it just to ad tools to my tool belt.. Do you tattoo as well? If so have you tried a group/ has it worked and or gone well?
  17. True that Dan Makes me kick my ass into studying more and reaching higher - inspired in an odd way!!

    Swallow

    love it. classic
  20. I am loving all of these.. I believe I'll be doing finger tats on my husband in a couple of weeks.. He's kicking around the Sink & Swim idea.. all suggestions of other possibilities are greatly appreciated. I'm worried about doing them..he works for the govt and has gotten the "okie dokie" and already has highly visible neck tattoos and the top 1/2 of one hand... if he already has that - do you think finger tats are really pushing it much further? Thoughts? - - - Updated - - - I'm loving that lol
  21. front of my hips (hipbone to hipbone lettering and swallows) was difficult due to jeans chaffing, sitting creasing etc... I actually took a big maxi pad and put it o the inside of my pants facing my body to stop things from rubbing..odd I know, but it worked.
