Lifting Thread;training for the tattooed warrior.

I do slouch, but not nearly as much as I have started doing deads. My neck muscles are tight as hell sometimes. Headaches and I constantly move them as trying to eas it. I will cut pressing. Thanks for the link! A friend recommended also this. What do you think? -

I havent benched in months... One thing I think could be that few months ago in aikido we started the training with 20 push ups. I wasnt warm and felt like crap after that for days. -

It also feels tight if I do this http://www.topendsports.com/medicine/images/shoulder-posterior.gif I feel it in the "between" of chest and shoulder. In the grease. Or something. -

It was my own malarkey reasoning :P And it never hurts when deadlifting, only when pressing or doing push ups. The side of the arm and shoulder. Only way I can think that I coukd have hurt it deadlifting is if I have in some point of the lift lifted with my arms. I think. -

I visited a physical therapeutist and he checked all the motions etc. and all the places should be ok, except muscle tightness etc. Might be that I gained too many pounds to my deadlift too soon and joints couldnt keep up, or the muscles that attac to ligaments etc. Resting now. No surgerys etc. Edit. I mean tendon not ligament -

I think Perez was amused by the choises you gave. Is he great or best. Is he god or Lemmy :)

If you like Reginos stuff, why dont you just go to him. When it comes to artists in Reginos caliber, issues like whos the best dont really matter. If you like him, go for it.

I see your point Shawn, but it is still kinda uncool just to drag someone randomly to a discussion and say they arent as good as Conn. Mister Cleen might say the same himself for all I know, but he isnt here :) I think... Edit. My point was that when speaking about art, its different if you say someone isnt good enough than to say I dont like his/hers stuff as much as this persons.

Yeah, I also meant for the tattoo, not for an hour :) I wouldnt pay a 500$/€ for an hour. I dont know how much in synch the high rates are with the tattooing becoming more and more of an "art"? And if you would ask 100 regural people would they get tattooed by mister Conn or Devita, I bet wast amount would choose Conn. But if Conn was 500$/hour and Devita 500$ for the whole tattoo... I dont know. And of course Im choosing Devita because his name, or the aura. So I guess im guilty also :)

I think mistef Conn also knows the value of his name. He knows what people think about him and is playing his cards accordingly. And he quit tattooing because he didnt dig the scene etc. so I imagine he doesnt want to do stuff with an 150$ hour rate. Keep them small and finish in one session. Of course another aspect is that he is charging this because people make tattooers mythical. Like Mike Roper. Grime says something in a interview = Roper is god. And even if he does do amazing work, it is the name and just that to some pdople. The culture that we live in. Elevate someone and be associated to that person = you get part of that spotlight. Golden calf etc.

I was interviewing him for TAM years ago, but he was so busy that we scratched it after few pages. Interesting stuff. I deleted it all because it seemed right. My code of ethics is from another era ;) And I also think the price is to weed out not so serious types. I would get tattooed just for the experince, if I would have won the lottery that is.

2/13.2012 deadlifted 7x1 with 110kg/242pounds. Friday I did 1x4 with 115kg/253pounds and 4x4 with 110kg/242pounds. Progress! Still one leg training and a rest week after that, then doing twos. -

I agree. But I have wondered about that. Squat is of course optimal to strenght etc. but is it because they compare squatting to leg pressing they say leg press isnt suited for strenght?I mean, if you have a leg prrss and dont squat, and leg press in order to gain strenght and start doing 200pounds as 1RM. And in 6 months you do 400pounds in leg press as 1RM, then you are stronger. Right. Of course if you were squatting you might have done 500, but still. -

My legs were tight as hell for months and months. Quite the difference when your legs are better. I usually dont do that much leg presses, but I had old logs so I decided to try it, just to compare. Log from 28/11/2011 (when my legs were tight as fuck on the sides etc) I did 3sets with 4 reps with 150kg/330 lbs and it was like hell. Now that my legs are better and I havent done any leg training in a while (besides deadlifting, but I do normal, not stiff legs, so dont know if that would do anything.) I did yesterday 220kg/484 lbs 6 sets/4 reps. Then run to the 5th floor. Not saying that it something amazing, just pointing out how much the leg muscles being tight as hell factor. But I did like the leg pressing and will do it alongside the zercher squat as I feel I like to. Here is a good article T NATION | Is the Leg Press Worthless? And as Jim Wendler talked that how people knock guys who leg press, well, you put 800lbs on it, you are not weak.Of course if you can squat 800lbs, fuck me...
