My tattoo did the same thing. If you look at my pics you will see the olive hinge looking brownish. It is totally gray now. I liked the brown shading so much that I am going back in tomorrow to have that "brown" shading put back in. Great tattoo by the way.

It takes time to heal, but it is so worth it in the end. So happy that you love it. Doesn't it feel good to finally say you've had the experience? How did you do during the session?

Hi all, Thanks for responding to my post, you are all right, it is up to the artist what they charge, they do have to set everything up and yeah, I could get this done in conjunction with another tattoo. I have swallowed my "cost concerns" and have scheduled an appointment to get the color. Avery, I totally agree with you in regards to waiting but I knew I wanted it colored when I got the original tatoo but I didn't know if I wanted it to be silver, gold, copper, etc. In the end I am going for rose gold. Wish me luck and thanks again everyone.

I hate to even ask this question because I don't want to come across as being cheap, but I want to make sure that I am paying a reasonable price for an addition of color on an exhisting tattoo. I want to add some color to the olive part of the hinge in the ditch of my arm. What my artist quoted seemed a little over the top so I thought I would find out from this group what a reasonable price would be. I have attached a picture of the tattoo and I am wanting to add a rose gold color just to the olive. Thanks in advance for any advice and take care, Chris

I got a tattoo 5 weeks ago in the ditch of my arm and the only thing I am not crazy about is the tightness of it. If I don't keep it really moisturized it's almost as if I can't stretch my arm out to its full extension or I feel a slight ripping sensation like I'm wearing a sticker in the ditch of my arm. Other than that no complaints. Anyone else experience this in the ditch, or anywhere else for that matter?

As Brock said, take your time in placement and design, as we all know, this is permanent and no do overs. When I went in for my own tattoo I hated the design and felt that the artist didn't listen to me at all. He opened the file I had left with him regarding what I wanted and said give me 30 minutes. I'm glad I did because I really love the outcome and in the end that's all that matters. 13 days & counting. P.S. I ended up doubling the original tip I had in my mind because of the outcome. So yeah, tipping counts.

Hi vPooch, I am an older gal (45) that just got her first tattoo a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to give you some advice about your appointment. I don't know the driving age where you are but try to have someone take you and pick you up. It's an exhausting yet exciting time for you and you will just want to breath when it's done. Take bottled water with you and drink it during your session. I had to lie down for mine and the water gave me little breaks and kept the dry mouth away. Try to eat a decent meal before you go so nerves don't get to your tummy. Listen very carefully to your artist when you are done so that you know how to take care of your tattoo when you get home. Try to get that care in writing if you can so that you don't have to remember exactly what he said. I wish you nothing but the best, you sound like a great kid with a solid head on your shoulders and I am proud of you for being brave about coming on here and being polite in regards to what these fine folks said to you. They only mean the best for you. Be safe and share your experience with us.
