  1. ↑ There was a lad in a shop down the road from where I worked who once tattooed a girl for a can of coke. He also quoted my cousin's friend €20 for a pin up that would have taken up his whole side and tattooed a band logo on a 14 year old. The shop was aptly called Poison Ink. I just wish there were pictures.
  2. Just left in a deposit to get my new sleeve designed :D Can't wait to see what he comes up with. And to finally get rid of the lump of shite I've had on my arm since I was 18.
  3. All mine are all by different artists, and I want to go to different artists for the next few I have planned as well. I had planned to find one artist I liked and stick with them, but then I discover different ones and I NEED something by them. I'll probably go back to the lad who's doing my sleeve though.
  4. I found this girl after the piercer in a different studio with the same name nearly killed someone with dodgy cheek piercings. https://www.facebook.com/Shetattoosandbodypiercers It's all so terrible and yet there are comments under nearly every picture from people telling her she's great.
  5. I got my first one when I was 17. I was sitting at the kitchen table with my auntie and asked, "Would you mind if I got my nose pierced again?" "You're a big girl now, you don't have to ask me these things." "Can I get a tattoo?" "If you can find someone who'll do it." I had it before the week was out. Hindsight being the wonderful thing it is, it was a terrible, godawful idea and I wish she'd told me 'no' or I'd had the sense to wait and go to someone good/actually think about what I wanted. That said, I found the artist again a few weeks ago and I got away pretty lightly considering some of the other work he deemed portfolio-worthy.
  6. Had another five hours done on my leg sleeve two days ago and the swelling around my knee was just about gone this morning. At least it's all on the front of my thigh this time so I can sit down properly.
  7. The back of the thigh was the most painful spot for me. The knee hasn't been a whole lot of fun either, but I've only been tattooed around it so far so we'll have to see.
  8. Once a girl asked me if my four year old tattoo still hurt.
  9. I think it's the same everywhere. I don't really like starting these threads myself but some places seem to find it rude if you don't. I'll try not to make three posts and then disappear.
  10. The back of my thigh. By far. The design wraps around and we did the back first so it wouldn't be all tender by the time we got to it. Spent the first an hour and a half of a five hour session shading and colouring there, by the end the needle felt like it was tearing strips of flesh off every time it passed over. I have to go back for more in a week or two.
  11. It's infinitely better than it was but the hairline is wrong and now that's all I can see when I look at it. It slopes down across her face but it should be more of a square-ish shape. That area was clear in the original so it's not like the coverup artist had to cover anything with it. Not the best portrait in the world though I suppose he had to work with what was already there.
  12. Howyis. My name's Imogen and I'm from Ireland. I'm a collector at the moment but I've wanted to be a tattooist since my early teens. I'm actually planning on dropping a CV into a tattoo shop tomorrow so wish me luck with that! I'd only be working at the counter but it's a foot in the door. I got my first tattoo when I was 17, which wasn't my best ever idea in hindsight. I'm currently working on my leg sleeve- Aasgaardreien by Peter Nicolai Arbo but changed around slightly to fit my leg.
