Congrats on the 1st Tattoo and what a kickass one at that.

Tatt (see what i did there) definitely isn't successful in my opinion. It seems the scarring result would be similar to this: and cheaper too...

It looks quite similar to the Tatt2away non laser removal method.

I can appreciate many different forms and styles of tattooing, for me I am a huge fan of Neo-Traditional tattoos and is what most of my work is done in. I like traditional american/ Japanese tattoos, but for me, they just don't 'float my boat' aesthetically. The imagery is fantastic though. I can appreciate the work put into these designs, the process of how it is applied, the craftsmanship. I love tattoos and can't even begin to explain the plethora of information this site has taught me over these last few years. I can confidently say I understand the sites' (for lack of a better word) obsession with traditional american and Japanese style of tattooing. Its all going back to tattooing's flourish and roots of what can stand the test of time, its what has been proven to work. But as with every form of (for lack of a better word again) 'art' there needs to be an evolution for it to survive in a way. Just like in nature, evolution needs to be small and subtle, yet changed enough to not go extinct. Such as, grime's work when he was starting to get major recognition. It was similar to a lot of styles out there but had a twist that was recognizable and worked well, well enough for people to copy his twang. As grime was just an example to how tattooing can change into something the general populace will know almost nothing about, most only look at whats 'hot' right now. All in all tattooing is something that to me has no certain look, shape, or form; since it has been practice for thousands and thousands of years. I think the only tattoos that really become trendy are bad tattoos...

Bruising and sensitivity of the area of or around the tattoo is normal and common. Skin is different and can heal differently. Generally you want to keep your tattoo from getting any scabs what-so-ever, but sometimes scabs can occur (especially on larger pieces when you're not used to healing them) The best course of action would be to talk to the artist that did your tattoo, because they will generally know more about what is going on with the healing process and be able to help.

Looks like an octopus to me. Octopus are kind of alien in a way if you think about it though. I wouldn't read into too much of what people say though, its solid work and once the coloring is in it will be read better as others said before. It does remind me of the Doctor Who suit alien though...

I can only relate to the sternum and ribs. I banged out 6 hours on the ribs in one day. It hurt but wasn't extremely unbearable. The sternum hurt enough for me to see red, literally (didn't hurt extremely bad though), but out of anyone to believe, I can believe you.

Welcome to LST! The only thing I can recommend is talking to an artist about the tattoo you want. What style of tattoo do you want?

From what i know the spiderweb signifies that you have done/ are doing time. As for it being on jesus it would go along with that, because he did do time...on the cross. So in that regard it would work.

If you really want a good laugh His 'Rap' name is Riff Raff. If you watch an interview of him its the most hilarious thing make fun of. Being a huge hip Hop head this guy (and many like him) give the genre a bad name and look (IMO). Sorry for Making your eyes/ ears bleed...

This (IMO) is why bad tattoos are so popular, its because of people like this guy. Don't ask me why he is famous because, frankly, I don't know.

Ive found the best thing for me to 'zone out' while i'm getting tattooed is Controlling my breathing and bull shitting/ talking with the artist. So far this is working, some spots and sessions can be different. My last session that I had was about 6 hours on my ribs, breathing was a little more difficult because of the expansion of my ribcage while getting tattooed and of course the pain was a little more intense on that area of the body.

Reminds me of Starship troopers (which was also done with a laser). I feel this is inevitable, most of the General population doesn't care about the culture of tattooing. We all know those people that want a sleeve, back or chest piece done in an unreal time period. I'm sure someone will capitalize on this idea and we will see these as frequent as a redbox. Yes, I would say that is pretty true. In my experience with Universities and nursing school is that they do have a problem with tattoos and piercings. I am Going to school for my bachelors as well. I have ran into problems regarding my tattoos and piercings for the program. Generally i've noticed people with tattoos getting treated differently by teachers and advisors.
