If your the type of person who feels that they are not getting enough attention from people, and are not comfortable unless your impressing everyone, and are thinking of maybe getting a tattoo that will gather crowds, may I suggest a full shirt of "Where's Waldo." I guarantee you'll be an eyeball magnet. And if you want your 'new friends' to hang around a bit longer, don't include Waldo anywhere in the piece. Just keep saying "He's there, you just gotta look."

My old lady is Italian, so we dont go out for Italian food. Calzones, pizza, or for a snack a little homemade sourdough bread and a small plate of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and a dash of minced garlic to dip. Heaven. Of course biscotti and pizelle's for dessert. And many a shot of Pisa. This stuff dont pack a big punch, but the flavor is insane

I have seen the ones that that look like a skull, but if you look a little deeper, looks like 2 women facing each other at a table. And others that are 2 in 1 pictures. But what I have'nt seen, is anything done in ink, that appears to be moving. Kind of like the blacklight poster "zonk" from back in the 70's. I think to do a tattoo of one of these would require heavy ink in the white areas. Thats what gives life to the other colors. I said I 'think.' Im not positive. Does anyone else know of, or have seen a tattoo done like this? If not, hey, this could be something of a new trend that could bring you pros, a pocket full of change. lol I googled 'optical illusions', and there's a ton of graphic material out there.

Im 57, started smoking when I was 15, and I just cant seem to kick. Its the worst habit I have had in my life. Its strange though, Ive been locked up on more than one occasion, and you cant smoke in county jails, or prison anymore, but it didnt other me one bit. No craving, not even after meals. I would go 2-3 years without a cigarette. The entire time telling myself, "when i get out im not gonna start back up" But as soon as I would hit the street, thats one of the first thing I wanted. I guess when it wasnt an option, my mind set to the fact and blocked them out. But then when I got out, the option was there, and the mind said hey lets burn one. lol. I wish you luck.

Tattoos on the hand seem to be one of the best spots on the body, to get damaged before it heals. For me anyway. There is nothing quite like the feeling you get when you jam your hand into your pants pocket at 7-11 to pull out money. You can almost hear the ink being pulled out. So, if your going to get a hand tattoo, you might want to wear loose clothing with big pockets. Dont use your pants pockets to keep your stuff in. Wear baggy, loose shirts that are easily pulled over your hand with as little contact as possible. the best way is to keep the hand wrapped up for a few days, along with the baggy wear. I have had to touch up the tattoo on my hand twice, yes I learn things the hard way.

Back in 1973, when I was in the USMC. tattos were not an issue. Only because "arms" and "backs" were mostly the only part of the body that was tattoo'd. However, back then, not many people other than military, or bikers, had tattoos period. Not that were visible to the public anyway. But the major factor in these "new" regulations, is street-gangs. Its true. Gangs are now sending the young prospects off to bootcamp, and on to further assault training, for the soul purpose of them using that knowledge when they get back home and become a warrior in the gang. Its already a issue with law enforcement, and their lack of ability to get a grip on these individuals who in most cases have more power than the average cop. I have seen special documentaries on this subject over the past 2-3 yrs. It seems to be a real problem for the politicians and military brass. but in reality, its only a diversion, smoke screen, to keep the publics attention off of what is really going on. business as usual.

At that time, I did not feel confident to do the work correctly. I had only been out of prison about 3 years, and I didnt have much "coil" experience. As I look back, it probably would have turned out great, but hindsight...... you know. lol. Im glad I didnt, because even though it would have been right, it wouldnt have been as good as what I can do now. So im gald I didnt. Oh, and yeah, I seen it, she had one side ready to go. LOL

As an ex-force recon Marine, this kind of hits home a bit. In the last couple of years, marines have ween using German translation for normal English terminology. For instance,"teufelhunden". This is what has been translated for the term "Devil Dog." But in actuality, the proper use of the term is spelled as "Teufelshunde" In German grammar, a compound noun is always a single word, so using two words "Teufel Hunden" is grammatically incorrect. The correct German would be Teufelshunde in nominative, genitive, and accusative cases, and Teufelshunden only in the dative. In either form, the linking element "s" steps between the words. Either way, who's gonna argue? LOL. Its only an "S", but its kind of cool to offer the knowledge of them having a choice, if ya know what I mean.

About 5 years ago, a girl I know asked me if I would give her a tattoo. I said possibly, whatcha got in mind? She said, "Right here in front, below the bikini line, Im gonna shave one side. And I want a tat of the pink panther pushing a lawn mower". I fell out of the chair laughing. And I declinded doing the work. LOL

I dont think that would be a problem. I have never heard of anyone making it one either. Im sure there is an artist out there that might. If you meet em, get your work done elsewhere I say.

I agree Tassos. I have tattoos as old as 40. They will fade. I cant stress enough, the importance of the major factor that causes most of this problem. Its the Sun. Sure its nice to get a little tan in the summer. But I have had my share of sunburns, and they dont help preserve a tattoo one bit. But I have found that an old faded tattoo can get new life with a good blast over.

I have been goin back and forth in my mind about a spiderweb in the armpit. I have talked to a few who have had ink done there, and they cringe when I bring it up. Like they re-live the pain. LOL. So with that in mind, Im gonna do it. This summer for sure. I will post all the traumatic events as they unfold. lol.

I definetly have to say "shins". Its not like like the heavy sting on the wrists or neck. Its a combination of heat, sting, and a sensation of feeling like your being tortured by having your skin peeled off with a spoon. LOL. It aint nothin nice as far as im concerned. But I do put ink there. LOL

I can say this, from personal experience. Keep your tattoos out of direct sunlight. Back when I was a kid, we could play outside all day in the sunshine and not get 1/3 of the UV damage that you can get today. I suppose the Ozone is really getting trashed like they say it is. Just walking from inside the house out in the sun feels different than it used to. Its almost an instant little sting thing goin on. Anyone else notice that?

I got a tattoo of a heart and dagger, with the name Debbie in it (pic is on my page). I was in the Marine Corps and she was my girl back home. Well a few years later I went back to see if they could tattoo "Bitch" over "Debbie'. they couldnt, so I had em black it out. My advice is, think long and hard about tattooing someones name on you. Or design it in a way that you can go over it with something else and still have some nice art there.

This was the first tattoo I got. 1973, at the Long Beach Pike. Done by "Leroy", at "Leroys Tattoo". He looked like an old sailor. He tattooed his name inside his lower lip. People would ask him if he was Leroy, and without saying a word he would turn his lip down so you could read it.
