@suburbanxcore I got it under/next to my other one from him. It wraps around the back of my ankle, and then comes up the outer side of my calf a bit. I love having the two right next to each other, but now all I can focus on is the expanse of blank space that is the rest of my lower leg. He was just in Philly for that one day, but I gather that he plans on coming back at some point—I believe I heard him say he was thinking in a year or so. Regardless of the exact timing, I think you and/or your buddy will get another shot to get tattooed by him. Which I of course recommend.

I'm really enjoying seeing the results of the Montreal convention. So happy for all of you. I got a really incredible tattoo from El Monga on Friday. The magic is strong with this one. I didn't get any pictures of it when it was fresh, so I'm waiting to see if he posts one to his IG so I can pilfer it. Otherwise I'll wait 'til it's healed to get a picture. I know, I know, I hate to keep you all in suspense.

I somehow missed you guys saying that you were actually getting tattooed at the convention. Needless to say, you both nailed it.

I'm compelled to make this same post on a very regular basis. That or something along the lines of "I LOVE TATTOOS!" Sometimes that's all there is to say. On a related note, I'm getting tattooed tomorrow, so I'll have some awesome stuff of my own to contribute. :cool::cool::cool:

Not completely sure what he'll be adding yet. My original idea was to put a Penrose triangle right below my other one from him, but he wasn't sure that it would fit well thematically (which I understand). He sent me a picture with a bunch of occult symbols in an attempt to generate some new ideas, and I pulled out a couple of my favorites and sent those back. We'll see what he comes up with, I can't wait.

Rock of Ages has been my personal favorite as far as shop soundtracks go. They were playing a steady stream of doom metal, sludge and the like when I was there, and it seems like that's pretty much the norm. I forget everything that they played, but I remember they were blasting Om when I first came in. Hard to beat that, although I have to wonder how the squares feel about it.

I saw this on his IG and was wondering if I missed you posting it here. That leg has to be looking pretty awesome at this point.

I just booked a spot with El Monga for when he's back in Philly at Rumi Tattoo next month. He's doing a sort of benefit type thing for the family of Cosmo, the shop's owner who unfortunately just passed away last week. That shop's been a huge part of my life as a tattooed person--it's right in the same neighborhood where I live, where I got my first tattoo, and where I got tattooed by El Monga the first time--so this one will definitely have some sentimental value. I suggested that he do a Penrose triangle with his own personal flare to it, but we'll see what his feelings are on that.

What about jackass single 24 year olds? I can't be the only one.

I've also had issues with one red in particular—I have 5 tattoos with red in them, and with one the red took 25–50% longer to heal than the other colors. It ultimately healed just fine, though. Having such a specific reaction is so hard to anticipate that I choose not to worry about it going forward.

I'm subscribed to it, but it just bums me out more than anything. Not to sound holier-than-thou or like I'm some sort of authority on tattooing, but it further reinforces the sentiment that most people don't know anything about tattoos. Some good stuff definitely does pop up from time to time, though. I've actually posted a couple of my tattoos on there.

I've gone through this exact same thought process so many times—soothing these anxieties with plans for more tattoos. That would probably seem extremely counterintuitive to a plainskin.

Looks awesome! It's always nice to see some stuff from a hometown hero on LST. I've been thinking about getting something from Martin for a while.

Unless there are tattooers out there looking to buy used panties off reddit, or even less savory things off some Tor site, I can't imagine any tattooer would want to accept them as payment. Until you can pay bills, buy food, or do anything practical with bitcoins, cash (that is, physical currency) will indeed remain king.
