I wasn't tattooed when I met my fiancée, who also isn't tattooed. Since we have been together, I've gotten a half sleeve, torso tattoo, and chest piece. She's been supportive of most of it, but when I mention finishing up my sleeve or turning my other arm into a half sleeve, she isn't too big on the idea. I've been with a few tattooed girls as well, prior to having any myself, and they were very snobbish about my desire to get tattooed. It almost seemed like they didn't want me in their secret club. :P I think I prefer my girl without tattoos though, not really sure why.

While I wouldn't mind going to a famous shop one day, having a sleeper shop is nice because I don't have to wait six months every time I want to get a tattoo.

Marlowe Ink in Fairfax has some great artists, and they all have their own style. Corey Taylor does really good traditional, and he comes from Exposed Temptations which is a good shop, but overpriced. I've had almost every artist at Marlowe do work on me, definitely recommend them.
