    awesome, thanks for answering.
  3. I am not a motorcycle guy but a lot of my friends are and have noticed a few LSTers as well so thought I would share this article my friend, Eric Ahlquist, took the pictures for: http://www.bikeexif.com/ducati-supersport-custom?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Bikeexif+%28Bike+EXIF%29 WALT SIEGL DUCATI CUSTOM If there’s a middle ground between the reliability of a modern bike and the charisma of a classic motorcycle, it’s occupied by guys like Walt Siegl. Walt is a master craftsman who gives vintage machinery a new lease of life, and if something isn’t quite the way he wants it, he’s got the skills to make it himself in his New Hampshire workshop. According to Walt, “The owner of this bike already has a couple of late model Ducatis, and wanted another princess from Italy—but with classic curves and low maintenance.” Although this bike looks like a resto-mod to the untutored eye, it’s effectively a ground-up custom. Old school craftsmanship just oozes from every weld. The custom trellis frame is built from 0.65 chrome moly—TIG welded and heat stress relieved—with a 24-degree rake. (The design is based on the iconic bevel frames.) At the front, fully adjustable Showa forks lead to Ducati trees, custom risers and custom bars. At the back, Walt has selected a stock 900SS swing arm and shock body, but fitted an Öhlins spring for better damping. He’s also modified the rear wheel spacing to accommodate a late-model cush drive. The engine is from a 1994 900SS, upgraded from 904 to 944cc with a big bore kit. Performance gets a further boost from 39mm flat slide Mikuni carbs, with custom manifolds and gorgeous polished Gianelli mufflers. The engine covers, painted cases and cylinders are polished to match. Walt built a custom tank and tail—painted by Nate Weiner—and got the custom seat covered by Kevin Rothe. European Cycle Services supplied a wiring harness, allowing Walt to position the electronics under the tail. Up front are a Motogadget tachometer and a Monster headlight on a custom bracket; at the back is a genuine 70s CEV taillight. If this bike whets your whistle, Walt can build something similar for you: he tells us he’ll be offering “a limited series of air-cooled customs with Ducati engines by spring 2011, similar to this bike.” The price will be in the low 30s; if you have a bit more to spend, you’ll be able to specify an ‘R’ model priced in the low 40s, with carbon fiber bodywork and full Öhlins suspension. Tempted? Check this retro Ducati racebike and radical custom Harley Sportster for more examples of Walt’s work. 4. Anyone see this article? Thought it may be fitting for this thread. http://insidescoopsf.sfgate.com/paololucchesi/2010/10/26/michelin-guide-bay-area-2011-meadowood-elevated-to-three-stars-chez-panisse-loses-its-star/

Hannibal Lector is the man, great tattoo! Did you do both the black and grey and color? Curious why the mix if so? Thanks for sharing.
  6. My nephew came over yesterday and had some tribal tattoos on his forearms (see picture below), nothing out of the ordinary for him. He's been raised around many "uncles" with tattoos from face to toes so he wants them and doesn't trip on them and gets temporary ones put on regularly. So I ask him where he got the cool tribal forearm tattoos and he informs me at a birthday party last weekend. So asking away I learn they, the party giving family, had a "Tattoo Booth". Yes I learned you can rent "tattoo booths" that come with "tattooers" and airbrush flash and stencils, etc. Wow tattooing has really hit a new level of acceptance, etc, yadayada, blah. By speaking with Mason I learn one of the kids at the party who has a very religious more strict upbringing got the tattoos airbrushed all over his face and neck. Where as Mason kept it more level headed. Why is this? Sure the forearms are still visible if they were real but it wasn't the neck, face, hands, and/or other visible spots. So would I let Mason and/or my own kid(s) if and/or when I have them get a tattoo(s) before eighteen? I guess I have to wait and see..... Dari, Henry Jumping can practice on me when he is ready.
  7. I was just watching the rough Josh Arment video interview yesterday by Cody Miller and I think he has some really good points on lettering and script. Maybe they will fuel more to this conversation once we post them. I love lettering and have for many many years so thought I would include a picture of my collar with script lettering done by Freddy Corbin many years ago at Temple Tattoo around when it first opened. The brief story goes like this: Freddy grabs a red marker and makes some freehand lines on my collarbone for what I'm guessing a straight-line ruler (which isn't very straight from broken bones) but makes it look straight. Then just starts writing away on my collar with the pen like a piece of paper and I shit you not less than a minute later tells me to go check it out.
  8. You would think they'd fell the difference right Dari? Wow, speaking of penis tattoos and tattoo mistakes you here about this one Petey is getting ready to do a tattoo cover up on? http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/tattooforum/threads/4-Worst-Tattoo-You-ve-Witnessed/page4 I can't wait to see the pictures of before and after as they should be very very entertaining. I wonder if we can get a follow up interview with this guy and pictures of course of this awesome tattoo mistake? Will he do tattoo laser removal or tattoo coverup or say fuck it and keep it? Anyone in Australia on here yet????????

    hello

Welcome Dustin and thanks for the affirmation on the site but it is all the LSTers who are making it happen. We hope to keep it as drama free and productive so find some tattoo threads and weigh-in where you feel fitting. Oh yeah and when you're feeling better lets see some tattoo pictures! 13. I must admit that i am surprised this thread has gone silent as this could be some pretty funny tattoo stories.......
  14. Thanks for the new tattoo thread, tattoo picture and tattoo story! All the ones friends and I did on one another growing up with a needle and ink all fell out clearly didn't go deep enough which could be a good thing. Though some would argue and have that I have some done by "tattooers" that look very amateur and could very well be tattoo mistakes.
  15. Haha, please do Petey. The question is did you do the first tattoo, penis cross, homie? Hope it is a good tattoo coverup.
  16. Any stories and/or pictures from this event? I've heard good things about it in the past and know some friends have had a blast! For those who couldn't go please tell us about it!!!!!!!?????!!!!!
  17. Let's hear the stories plus pictures and tattoo pictures as some of us couldn't make it for various reason's...... I did manage to see/meet Nick Colella some days before when Scott was tattooing me and it was a pleasure. Bring it on..........
  18. The preparty was a blast and am not happy it was the only thing I got to make it to all weekend! It was a pleasure meeting some LSTers there and have a feeling I missed others. I must say there were some beautiful woman there and thanks to the one, who I still don't know who she is, bought me a redbull! Shit was so hectic I didn't even see Scott and Dari until the end of the night. Scott thought I just got there and I thought he just got there, haha, elbow to elbow good times. Lets hear others stories and/or pictures?
  19. So the weekend of the tattoo convention has passed and I wish I could have made it but school got in the way so where'd everyone eat?
  20. Alright the answer is here for why this tattoo mistake was posted though all of you have pointed out many new mistakes making it fun, thanks. Here's it is upclose.... Look at the banner and just above that the leg. Now follow the line of the back of the leg(above the banner) behind the banner and when the line reappears to what should be the back of the ankle it is the front. Last time I checked calf's don't bend like that organically, hahaha. So there is one of my tattoo mistakes on my body. Who's up next? Bring the tattoo mistakes pictures! Thanks for weighing in on this everyone who did. Until next time...have a good day! Lochlan
  21. Good afternoon homie. I commented on my photo asking if this was Petey Petey who left the message and sure enough...welcome to the site homie and glad you joined us! Doing good over here just grad school, working for myself doing consultations and now this new project with Scott. How about you? Miss all you guys and the insanity we've had over the years. Really wish I had money in my pocket to come out that way!!

    Until next time....
