This was forwarded to me and could go under many threads on Last Sparrow Tattoo but how about this one. I decided here because this is really an oops as she was good looking before and now all this does is highlight that mole, wart, what-have-yous on her face.....

Aaron, where is this located? So in the thread "Would you let your kids get tattooed before eighteen" when writing a recent response I was going to include this but decided it was more appropriate here...... As many know I have known Scott for some time now and he would not even tattoo my hands, fingers, neck, visible spots up until a about a year ago at which point he did the sides to some of my fingers and another time a set of my knuckles on both hands. I had to go to someone else at Blackheart to do my neck because bottom line Scott was looking out for me and has morals/ethics but I found my way around it. The person in the shop did get shit for it. So what are your set of morals/ethics on this topic of "Visible Tattoos"?

Would you let your kid get tattooed before 18?
Lochlan replied to Gia Dobson's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
I often wonder if kids who decide to be a "skateboarder" or "surfer" or "punk" or "skinhead" or "????" if they get an opportunity to get educated in it as much as they can to gain a foundation and potential further love for it or dislike for it once educated on it or do they just join the fad? I ask this because isn't soccer or dancing or whatever else the same? Or do the stigmas influence too much of the other stuff? Soccer/football (non american) has plenty of violence and/or crews/firms. So when a kid starts soccer or teeball or whathave yous that is more "mainstream" at a young age are they given a brief understanding of it and its history or do they just show up to practice dressed the act because the guardian(s) have decided so or the kid shows an interest? How much does society's stigmas play a role in parenting? I don't ask this to be counterproductive or ridicule but rather to be productive. If tattooing, skinheads, edge, punk, hardcore, skateboarding, etc are going to be more "mainstream" and in the publics eye and productive society members like the many others in society how do we make it so the potential "fad" for that individual is less long term harmful (harm reduction) becuase isn't that what is being discussed? Or are we giving straight up "No", "Not in my backyard", etc answers like many of us got/get in life which we don't respond very well to? We have had plenty of people on this forum and in this particular thread speak to underage tattoos they got. Scott has an interesting point . So my next set of questions/reflections are how do we educate because we all know lecturing and telling people (teens especially) not to do something they are that much more inclined to do so. For those interested this is a flavor of something called psychological reaction mixed with some other theories.Alright I think I've attempted to throw enough gasoline and M-Eighties on this thing for now..........lets here it........- 80 replies

SF Tattoo Convention of the Arts 2010, My recap!
Lochlan commented on Jennifer Stell's blog entry in Blog Jennifer Stell
This is yet another amazing blog from an LSTer! Thank you for taking the time to post such a well crafted insightful and progressive post with us plus tattoo video and tattoo pictures!! Who would of thought a usb cord, computer, tattoo machine would allow a tattoo to be finished due to a power outage? It just goes to show how genius some tattooers are and jacks of many trades!!!!! For those who want more on the State of Grace Tattoo Convention. -
I want to know who was the minds were that did this???? This is a hurricane of awesome laughs with one liners one after another!!!!

Aaron, that is a first I've heard of a tattooer having to learn piecing as part of their apprenticeship. The whole story is amusing and would love to hear more apprenticeship stories here: Tattoo Apprenticeship Horror Stories Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the history and pictures of some midwest tattooers. Nick, I was wondering if you got to see a some of these older tattoos when you would go do the military tattoos on paydays (I can 't locate your original post on this so pardon my butcher of details/history) up north at your friends shop? Also is that blue/green originally blue or green that is so common in older tattoos that I and so many others see when we get the opportunity to see some history first hand? I love it and when someone says older military tattoos that is by far one of the first things that pops in my mind to that association.

Favorite Movies for Tattooers and Tattoo Customers
Lochlan replied to Lochlan's topic in Random Crap
Anyone ever get into the Italian Cannibalism films? I had an old roommate that loved the stuff and even had it on an old laser disc player so we'd watch for hours and it was pretty intriguing but haven't really watched it since. Lizzie, you guys play movies in the tattoo shop? I don't think I have ever seen that.......- 68 replies

It is by far in my top three places i wish to go. Did you enjoy volunteering internationally or is that why you broke edge?
