  1. Has anyone seen the limited edition stuff Freddy Corbin did for pro skateboarder Keith Hufnagel' clothing line and stores HUF? It is pretty badass. I first saw it last Thursday night when some of us were all out at the East Bay Black and Blue monthly DJ night. Then the next day as it was rainy went to Temple to hangout and saw more of it. If you like it you best get it now before it is gone as Huf has all sorts of limited edition collectos and throwing in Freddy and tadaaaa SOLD OUT! Here's a link for purchase Here's some cool pictures
  2. Thanks for being a part of this site and seeing where it goes and what comes about from it. As for punk, I think there are some good new people doing "punk" but it is not the punk I grew up on with teenage angst if you will. It for sure has a folk tone with it which is awesome as well as I love folk but it just doesn't grab me and say dance motherfucker dance, you know what I mean? Some of the Lil Wayne stuff actually does though and I'll listen to it when working out which is odd as all hell thrown in between some Alcatraz, H2O, Gorilla Biscuits, Agnostic Front, Rancid, Powerhouse, etc.......
  3. I am amazed no one has started and posted their own videos to Last Sparrow Tattoo yet??????

  11. So this is my fourth blog on Last Sparrow Tattoo on my reoccurring topic of a guest and The Three Questions so figured I'd bring to you a friend of both Scott and mines....Jeremy Lux. I met Jeremy sometime ago through mutual friends as we both ran in the same circles at the same shows. I don't recall the exact time we met but I do know that he is one of the guys that I have always seen dancing and going for the front often times singing along at many shows. His energy is insane when you see he calmly hanging out polite and friendly then the music starts and shazam he's off. His most current musical project is Wolves And Thieves a must see if they come to your town and until then purchase their music. With that on to Jeremy Lux and The Three Questions: 1) The who, what, when, where, and why of your first tattoo? Picture? My first tattoo was when I was 18 or 19 at 222 Tattoo in San Francisco. I am sure if you have been on this site before you know how great this shop was. I had wanted to get a tattoo for a long time. I had some lame ideas floating around in my head for a while, and I am glad some of them never made it to my skin. Once I had enough money, I made my first appointment with Scott Sylvia. I was so stoked to finally get tattooed and at a such a great shop. I remember when he drew it up, I had wished it was a little bit bigger. I had no idea all he had to do was enlarge the image. Being that it was my first tattoo, I didnt want to be a bother and have him redraw the thing just so it was a few inches bigger. Looking back now i dont really care, I am not religious at all. I feel since it was my first I should probably keep it. If it is in the way of something sweeter one day, it just might have to go. Since then, a majority of my tattoos have been done by Scott. I really enjoy his style, and his company. Thanks Scott. 2) The who, what, when, where, and why of your latest tattoo? Picture? I was recently on tour with Ceremony in Europe and knew that I was going to be in London for a couple days. I hit up my friend Casey and asked where i should go for shopping and tattoos while I was out there. He pointed me in the right direction and told me about Frith St. Tattoo in London. After checking them out I made an appoitment with Stefano. Once I got out there, I walked by the shop maybe 3 times before I saw it. After walking down into the shop, I met Stefano and started throwing some ideas at him. I knew that what i was going to get had to be done in one shot. There was just no way i was going to fly back to London to finish a tattoo. I loved what he came up with and it fit perfectly. http://weakbecomeheroes.com/ 3) The last band, album, and song you listened to? Hour of the Wolf - Decompostions Vol 1 - Domestic Wild Thanks Jeremy and until next time everyone....have a good day!
  12. Thanks again for the info and follow up. I googled trabants and see they could be fun street legal go-karts, haha. Thanks and until next time...have a good day!

  13. Not a religious person but I've always had a fascination with the art and stories that surround various religions. My house is covered in various spiritual/religious art including many of my tattoos. So the other day when hanging out at Temple Tattoo in Oakland with friends since we were in the neighborhood running an errand I realized we haven't discussed it on Last Sparrow Tattoo yet. I am always amazed when I step into Temple not only for the quality of work that has continuously come out of that shop and the various tattooers that are/have worked there but just the visual stimulus of the shop itself. Tattoo 13, Freddy Corbin's, other shop in Oakland is just as amazing and found myself in there a few weeks back just observing the art as well. Both shops are like religious and spiritual museums and the tattoos just as high of quality. I am a fan of in my tattoos and many art pieces I do have various saints as well as taking religious ideas and adding a touch of a darker Dia De Los Muertos to them. So as that jumping off point lets talk about religious and/or spiritual tattoos, tattoo designs from crosses, Jesus, Mary's, Saints, angels, cherubs, guardian angels to Buddhist influenced tattoos to Stars of David to ?????? And of course we love tattoo pictures!
  14. So I have been noticing more recently a lot of people running a wide line of color through the center of their banners over the letters. I feel it doesn't add much for my eye or stimuli but am really seeing a lot of it and am curious.........educate me?
  15. I would agree that roses may be one my favorite fillers especially a black and grey rose with maybe a small tint of color on the tips. I've also been enjoying tighter kept/half blooming roses rather than fully bloomed ones. I've seen so many color roses that it is the black and grey ones that have been catching my eyes lately.
  16. I could follow all these links, flip through the books, and look at these pictures for days....thanks and please keep them coming. I love learning more about tattoos and tattooing!
  17. Bitching as in seventies surfer terminology for awesome, radical, tubular, insane, epic, rad, and so forth. Oh this takes me back to the movie Big Wednesday, such a classic! Anyways back to food..... I have always been doing a lot of stuff with poached eggs lately.
  18. It seems that it is a trial and error method but friends referrals are the most useful.....
  19. I had no idea there were so many, good to know. Falafel mix is super easy or at least the ones I have always used. just add water and et sit for about twenty minutes then start making whatever shapes you want and drop in hot oil, blammo!
  20. Dani, we would love to see the panther tattoo pictures if you change your mind but let us know if this continues and the above doesn't help, thanks.
  21. Do they have another place in the Sunset District in SF? If so, amazing falafel's! I used to like to use falafel mix for making veggie burgers.
  22. Great idea....we cook a whole bunch in our house. I'll try and put stuff up here regularly. Tammy is always cooking super good food and her blog is beyond rad......it is an earthquake of bitching! Last night or rather all day yesterday I made a homemade mexican style soup and tacos. Here it is: Slow cooked for three or four hours a chicken broth with jalapenos, onions, garlic, and tomato paste then strained and placed back in the slower cooker. Then added new/more onions, hominy, New Mexico hatced green chiles, corn and slow cooked for two or three hours more. Once done served in bowls with cheese and tortilla chips over the top with some tacos. My obsession for cooking lately has been soups. Jake's potato and leek soup this past week was a hurricane of awesomeness! Also Jake and I are planning a chile cook off in the house this winter and we'll post that up here too. Keep the food coming!!
