  6. Deb, haha, thanks! Here are some relevant tattoo and work related threads that I forgot to include in the original post: Tattoos and Work Tattoos and Chefs Was tattooing as popular 100 years ago? Tattoos for guys Tattoos for girls Tattooed Traveler Top Five Destinations Tattoos behind the ear on woman First Amendment and Tattoos Lastly, Caitlin emailed me and location does not matter for the research project so if you meet the above contact her.
  7. Just posted this thread on a research project for Female Tattooed Clinical Social Workers which is relevant, thanks.
  8. Good afternoon everyone. I received this email on a research project which is being headed and conducted by a staff I used to supervise for her thesis. If you or you know anyone who fits this please have them contact Caitlin. If you feel so inclined to print and place in your tattoo shop that would be cool too. Last I heard she was in the New York area though don't know if region plays a part in her research as technology could allow various locations both nationally and internationally to partake but that is her call. It is obvious a practitioners visible tattoos play a role in the therapeutic process and alliance but throw in the variables of female, location, and the possibilities are intriguing. I know of no research on these subjects matters being conducted so the results could be useful as tattoos become more common in various careers. For those interested here is the link to the thread on our tattoo forum for "Visual Tattoos". Thanks for helping out. [/img] [/img]
  9. Not to put Tammy on the spot, well I guess I am, but I think she could have some great leads for putting things like this together if she feels like sharing? Or Steve?
  10. Thanks for reposting this up in a blog so it doesn't get lost in the Cable Invasion thread. For those who haven't seen this Chiago Tattoo Company has been raising the ante on LST with well thought out and creative post with the above video by Mario and Nick Colella's thread on Chicago Tattooing History.
  11. Checked it out as well and Jake and I were talking about it. I also enjoyed that not only on the body suit is he showing a quality tattoo of the progress but also on some of his other tattoos he shows the progress. Thanks for sharing Hogg.
  12. Did you see the little pointer finger Tiger tattoo Chris Garver had all over twitter yesterday? Or did anyone else? Pretty sick!
  13. Just watched Tom Ford's directorial debut, A Single Man, on Netflix and would suggest adding it to your que and moving it to the top of said que. Read the description to make sure it is up your alley though.
  14. Nick, you have upt the ante and it is much appreciated as a whole new gratitude for starting this new project with Scott has been felt and experienced. Thanks for taking the time to start and write a historically rich history that is much needed on how Chicago influenced various aspects of tattooing. The pictures are just extra treats that enrich the words and names. With that in mind I do want to ask people to not rip these photos from the site as Nick is trusting us all with stuff from his personal collection as well as pictures and stories that he has done lots of research on finding and obtaining. If you like it enough and want to share the photos and stories leave them here and just send people the link. I had no idea about tattooing in the back of arcades until recently when Freddy Corbin shared some of San Francisco and Oakland's tattoo history with me. If you enjoyed this tattoo history here are some other ones LSTers have written: Was Tattooing as popular 100 years ago? Swinggates and The Pike Dan Higgs Tattoo books Old Tattoo Pictures Spaulding and Rogers 222 Tattoo Scottish Tattoo History Tattoos Today and Research Thanks again and I await the next instalment but until then will enjoy the ones thus far!!!
