  1. What do you have tattooed on your elbow? It seems like for many years the most popular tattoo designs for elbows I've seen were stars, spiderwebs, and roulette wheels though lately I've been seeing some new tattoo ideas. Curious if the previous "three" were mainly popular due to odd placement, lack of originality or another reason? I've heard the spiderweb stories/meanings but know this is for a smaller percentage of those wearing them. Would love to see some pictures of what various people have on here for elbow tattoos and also tattooers what they have tattooed. Tattooers, what was the best elbow tattoo you ever tattooed or got? For me it is part of a Dia De Los Muertos themed cobra half sleeve by Scott Sylvia done back at Temple.
  2. Welcome to LST tattoo forum and ezine Josh.

    Funny send up .

Each time I see this I enjoy it, thanks. The female getting tattooed is Chelsea Handler and see has a show called Chelsea Lately which every time I stumble upon it I am entertained. For those who wish not to just watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCAJUgOzpNU

    Hello peeps

The tattoo conversations have been fun plus a nice balance of positive & construct criticism since the site was launched. Also some of the quality of tattoo pictures plus everything else tattooers and tattoo collectors have been contributing has been great. Thanks for joining us and hope you'll enjoy it as much as we have.
  9. yep yep, lots of reading, researching, and writing but engaging.

  12. Over the past few months we've had some awesome conversations in the various tattoo forum threads on Japanese tattoo designs/tattooers, Japanese tattoo politics, and much much more around Japanese culture both historical and present day. Plus seen some great tattoo pictures from smaller tattoos to larger Japanese inspired body suits. Through all of this I noticed a thread solely dedicated to Japanese Tattoos was never started so the time has come.... For me I have been watching Stewart Robson's work on his blog as well as some of his work that has been posted on this site for some time now. I love the fact that he does works in progress pictures so as a fan of tattoos you can watch the process unfold on larger japanese tattoos. What stands out to me right now other than the attention to details and dedication by both tattooers and tattoo collectors to invest so much time into the piece but also the limited colors. The use of so much black with only a few colors if any really make a Japanese inspired tattoo standout to me. For one of the pictures below by Stewart I mentioned this I think in the Full Back Piece Thread is the carp on the upper right leg....so sick! From the tail to the face, the shading and colors matching how you'd potentially see one in a koi pond. I have more tattooers whose Japanese tattoos I follow regularly but will start there. Look forward to hearing everyone else's stories/opinions and seeing your pictures. Stewart Robson Blog (The photos I grabbed are recent ones but often times scroll all the way through all the pages and am never disappointed as it is time well spent!)
  13. Anyone see the new tiger tattoo picture Stefan Johnsson posted in his gallery here? Tigerhead Tattoo

  16. I have seen/heard some amazing tattoos, stories, what-have-yous over the years of this convention but am yet to make it. My sister will be out that way filming a movie for a few months so I am trying to see if the dates line up between that, work, and school so I can maybe attend. Anyone going? I saw some LSTers on the list which is an amazing list of tattooers and tattoo shops. 17. Anyone plan on attending this either getting tattooed or tattooing at? If you are getting tattooed who do you hope to get tattooed by and what tattoo ideas? If you are tattooing how would be best for people to make an appointment? Montreal Tattoo Convention Website NOTE: The website is in both french and english so just scroll around to find which you prefer.
  18. NavyDave, thanks for the introduction as it portrays your drive and passion so mindfully and respectfully. It's also cool you are finding support in SD regardless of getting an actual apprenticeship but getting the opportunity to interact with some great tattooers in different platforms. Are you stationed downtown or up at Pendleton right now? Lastly we hope you continue to enjoy the site and contribute as we couldn't have any of this without all of you!
  19. Thanks for posting this Hogg as I saw it recently but haven't had a chance to post here. I am going to try to make it but trying to see if I can move something else right now to make it. Hope to see you and other LSTers there!

    Greetings

Thanks for taking the time to sign-up, post, and introduce yourself. As mentioned you picked a great shop! Who tattooed you there?
  21. Shawn, thanks so much for your contributions to the site from tattoos to food as I/we are really enjoying them. Also saw you gave us a link on your blog so thanks for that as well and hope you will continue to enjoy your time with us!!!

  22. Good question I can't find it...maybe in the shading. I know I recently saw, can't remember where/who, a picture where the tattooer tattooed inside the belly button as much as possible and it almost became so hard to find. That has got to be one uncomfortable spot to get tattooed! Below are some new ones that caught my eye...
  23. Right on, thanks. Just wanted to double check it wasn't on our end as our tech guy did a few changes to try and make it easier to upload/post videos here.
  24. Thank you SO much for taking the time to salvage these and willing to share them here!!! Do you know why some are embedded and require clicking to YouTube while others you can view on your post?
