    Welcome to LST. Everyone gets introduced to things in life differently so thanks for your honesty and it is more how we pursue further understanding of things that matters, hopefully LST shows you some tattoos and tattooers that raise the bar on what you call a great tattoo and tattoo artist.     I have many unplanned tattoos due to sometimes just hanging out at a shop and/or swinging by to say hello with a few hours to kill and before I know it I'm getting tattooed. Way different from how I thought getting tattooed was supposed to be when I started. I thought you had to plan it out and it had to mean something but soon learned this was societies myth. At some point I just realized/learned the random tattoo is often times the most meaningful and fun. For instance, getting out of class early now on Saturday so going down to the SF tattoo convention to say hi to some friends and introduce myself to some LSTers that I haven't met...no appointments like I wanted to do but didn't think I was going to make it due to school so just an idea of people I'd like to get tattooed by and if they have the time I'm going to let them have at it...........try to collect a bunch of small tattoos....

    Did you see the recent blog by Ron Henry Wells / @The Hyena on LST wrote, "An Open Letter to Tattooers Everywhere", that was circulating facebook and he posted a link on LST in his blog section? Pretty good blog post!

    @Ty Pilkey I second @Stewart Robson. Use the internet resources to find tattooers/shops you like then contact them directly, maybe give them some reference then let them work their magic

    It is actually unfortunate though a part of the online world and face-2-face world as well that people disappear. We were just thinking/talking the other night how people sign up and never interact and/or disappear from LST wishing people would feel more inclined to stay active and participate humbly. We all start as beginners in any process and sometimes stay in that process longer than others. Shit I've got some terrible tattoos though I love them. Some friends joke I "have more terrible tattoos than someone locked up their whole lives". That is part of learning. Some of the best teachers I've ever had were those who were patient with me as I try and grasp a foreign concept, theory, way of life, etc.. Shit I still ask Scott and others stupid tattoo questions or what I deem stupid but they stay patient with me and the fact of the matter is I want to learn as much I can not only in tattooing but life in general. The only thing I know is I know nothing and learning never ends. Good topic by the way......

    Scott just had me strip down to my boxers and then roll up the side of them that he was tattooing. It goes right up to a quarter of an inch from my ..... on the inside and hip/ass elsewhere

    Freddy Corbin did this simple thirteen at his shop tattoo 13 on one of his friday the thirteenth parties in about thirteen seconds, haha. no it took a lil longer

    As @dooktruck mentioned the night tour at Alcatraz is a must do if you can get tickets and enjoy taking pictures...in the middle of the bay as the sun is setting around a rusted and corroding island, shamwow...some damn good photos! Plus it gets kind of ghostly fun.... Also the Contemporary Jewish Museum is doing a Houdini exhibit right now...going on the seventeenth and can let anyone know how it is after if anyone is interested....
