222, that could be a whole new tattoo post. Would anyone like to start it and/or explain for those who don't know what 222 tattoo was and who was there? I have only heard many stories, seen tattoos from that one time tattoo shop, and heard how much it was associated with the bay area punk scene. Thanks for the great thread on a choosing a tattoo shop!

I love the script as well as how the dates and order (day.month.year) for where you are at is different from where I am at (month.day.year). The little things that catch my eyes in a tattoo are sometime the most interesting piece for me. Odd? Or just another weird American thing? Thanks. -

Just found this one as well for fellow LastSparrowTattoo.com member and contributor Julio Avila. Julio, do you have a more updated link as I see this still has you in San Jose but you're now in the Midwest, correct? We would love to see you do a tattooer blog here with some photos. Thanks Dari, tim Hendricks does some of my favorite rose tattoos plus other great tattoos! I just came across this blog with some great tattoos and tattooers plus some laughs: Chicago Tattoo Company Nick Colella and Mario Desa are on LastSparrowTattoo.com and have been contributing some great stuff that you can find in the forums or hit them up on their profiles. Alright Jake and the rest of the LST tattoo community here it goes….. This is a tough call to pick my favorite tattoo as I must admit I still like almost all of my tattoos even those I don’t really remember getting and/or could potentially be classified as tattoo regrets but then I decide I like it again. Which is why I have no tattoo cover-up or tattoo laser removal but that’s another thread I’ll be writing in today. On to the favorite tattoo, as stated above that this is a hard decision so today’s favorites are (Yes favorites I got three today): 1) The cherub with bleeding eyes, Nick Rodin did on my throat back in 2006 or 2007 at Blackheart Tattoo. 2) The Skeleton Peace Cherub on my left rib by Zach Johnson at some tattoo shop on the Haight/Ashbury in San Francisco back in 2005/2004 maybe? I got this idea because I obviously like spiritual, religious, and cemetery imagery so this is a morph of all three in one tattoo. 3) The Skeleton War Cherub on my right rib by Zach Johnson at some tattoo shop on the Haight/Ashbury in San Francisco back in 2005/2004 maybe? The idea is the same as above and both were done in one sitting. There are today’s favorite tattoos. Mesa City Attorney Debbie Spinner said Judge Larry Grant of Maricopa County Superior Court probably would not release a written ruling for several days, but he dismissed the case orally after each side presented arguments. Angel Tattoo, operated by Ryan Coleman of Nice, France, and his wife, Laetitia, had sought permission to open a shop in Dobson Ranch in Mesa's southwestern corner. The Colemans promised to implement a "good neighbor" policy that included not offering gang or racist tattoos, limited hours of operation and other concessions. But several neighbors told the City Council in March 2009 that the shop was a bad fit for the area. The council agreed, with only Mayor Scott Smith voting to approve the application. The Colemans sued Mesa in March of this year, claiming the council had violated their civil rights, demanding monetary damages and asking that the court force Mesa to allow the shop to open. They cited as precedent a case where the owners of a tattoo shop successfully sued Tempe after the city revoked their permit. But Dennis Kavanaugh, a lawyer who represents southwest Mesa on the City Council, said there is no comparison between the two cases. "I have maintained that the city has had a solid legal position the entire time and that this claim is very different from the case in Tempe," Kavanaugh said. In the Tempe case, the city granted a permit, then revoked it after the owner had already made considerable improvements to the property. In the Mesa case, the Colemans made improvements to the property before any permits were issued. "Mesa is not anti-tattoo parlor. Each case is decided on its own merits as well as the qualifications and behavior of the applicant." Kavanaugh said that after the council's decision he offered to help Angel Tattoo find another location in the area, possibly in some new commercial buildings on the former site of a Motorola plant at Dobson and Broadway roads, about a mile and a half north of the Dobson Ranch location. He said a representative of the tattoo parlor never responded to that offer. Michael Kielsky, the Colemans' lawyer, was not available for comment Wednesday afternoon. "

Damn! Two days, fourteen hours with only five days in between! Thanks for the tattoo photos and stories!! That is very impressive and I love that there's no color. Why'd you decide no color? I hear the butt crack is one of the more painful spots?

Good evening Julio. Pls do post your links and post your work here (your profile/blog/post/etc) so people can see it. As to the blog, you can do that here! Think of "everything" under one roof, a one stop shop, for tattooers, new clients, and old clients! We are trying to capture and set up an arena for tattoo enthusiasts to build a web based community!
Thanks for the compliments but this site is to really be fueled by passionate people form the tattoo world looking to continue to progress tattooing down every avenue. So once we are done with this "Beta" run of invitees we'll have everyone spread the word (we'll let everyone know when were go "live" to the public). I/we would love to have your shop start a page as well.
As for Scott, he'll be joining us shortly with his content. Was just at the warehouse all day with him building tattoo machines talking about the site, so wait n see, as he has some great things coming to LST!!??!!
