I often wonder who are the people who are lurking around the tattoo forums with "guest" names and happy to see one join, so welcome!! I hope while you were looking around you saw how many of us love food, restaurants and yes food again. Would love to hear from you on food, tattoos, and whatever else you decide to talk about as I am sure others would as well!?!?! Until then..... Lochlan

  6. Damn in no time some quality and educational post were put out there, thanks so much! Mario, I can see it and just thought you were screwing with me. Thanks for educating me. I guess I have a whole bunch of vaginas tattooed on me unknowingly. Patrick, thanks for the link and tried to copy and paste it here but it won't let me so encourage anyone interested to click on the link. Has anyone read the book Memoirs of a Tattooist by George Burchett-Davis that it quotes and speaks about? Is it a should read for people interested in tattoo history?
  7. After much aversion to getting started on Sons of Anarchy I gave in. I had seen random episodes here and there in hotels and at friends houses but never Netflixed it and didn't DVR it as my satelite, Dish Network, FX wasn't stock. But I did manage to see the series finale for season two around when it aired when Freddy Corbin and Henry Rollins were in it because it was Freddy. However, I gave in and added it to my que on Netflix and this past weekend finished watching season one and season two beginning to end. But now am in limbo as we canceled our satelite about a month back which my brother now tells me FX is on Dish Networks basic plan, bastards. It sounds like season three is going to be fun and we are working on getting it....... Good to know I'm not the only one who saw the white shoes!
  8. I love big rib tattoos on ladies but at the same time know they are not fun to get done and I am sure almost less fun for the tattooer so would not suggest to someone for their first tattoo unless they were considering not getting tattooed ever again, haha. I really like the above line "i think generally well planned tattoos always look good on women." But at what point is over thinking too much? Some of the best tattoos I have seen on woman involved them taking an idea to a good tattooer and letting the tattooer decide on size and location within reason. As a good tattooer can make or break a tattoo as we all know. Thanks Valerie for diving in on this one! Anyone else.......
  9. All you opinionated tattooers are opting not to weigh in on this one.......hmmmmm...... How about the ladies out there? There are not certain tattoos you've seen on a guy where you are like "that is awful you should of gotten ??????".
  10. These list are beyond impressive, so my question is how did you choose who to get tattooed by? Post your response in this thread: Choosing a tattooer But please continue to add to Mario.s blog if you have not done so thus far. Great topic Mario!
  11. Has anyone read this thread on Traveling for a Tattoo Shop? I know more people on here choose who they get tattooed by looking at Mario Desa's blog on tattooers and it being so hot but why so silent in this thread? Mario Desa Tattooer Blog
  12. Here is a thread that talks a little about Eight Ball tattoos tattoo cover up Do no LSTers have any input on any of the above? This thread has been a little silent or rather really silent.......

  21. So over the past few weeks I've had some conversations outside this forum with people on tattoo coverups and seem to be seeing more than the normal amount for me. I've taken some of the tips from this thread in LST tattoo forum Tattoo Cover up or removal and shared it with the individuals. But have had some observations lead to assumptions that I want to turn to hypothesis by asking on this tattoo forum that I thought could be fun and intriguing. One of my friends was edge at a very young age as she grew up around lots of east coast edge kids that were also family members then broke it a few months after she turned twenty-one. During here teen years see accumulated four different straight edge tattoos. She has been in the process of covering them up for some years now but the one that really catches my eye is this large belly rocker of the three X's covered up by big roses. I understand three large X's in black ink are going to be difficult to cover and the tattooer did a good job except if you look closely then you can totally see them. So my first questions based off of some years observations and now reflections not only with this individual but others are: -Are roses and panthers the most common "objects" used to cover-up tattoos? -What other ones are common "goto" tattoos for tattoo coverups? Onto the other part....so another one of my friends has this tattoo outlined on her back that she refuses to let people see so much that when she's at the beach or other warmer climates she opts to wear a "tank-kini" rather than a bikini as she dislikes the tattoo that much. It is just an outline and spans about three quarters of her back in more of a "frame" manner and not so much the center and wants to do a tattoo cover-up. She has been considering the laser then coverup route and if she was in DC I'd send her to Karl Hedgepath at Jinxproof for laser and coverup but she is in the Bay Area. So the next set of questions: -Bay Area good tattoo laser removal businesses? -Bay Area good tattoo coverup tattooers? -Also to make this more informative for other locations...Who in you opinion does the best tattoo coverup? If you answer this please list the tattooers name, shop, and location (if you know all that info). Of course if you have before and after photos share them!! Thanks and let the schooling begin.........
  22. Thanks Hambone for continuing to update us with pictures and info. I always enjoy seeing stuff take shape not just the finished product. When you figure out the opening date please add it to the calendar on the site.
