  1. Good evening Shotsie. Thanks for adding the Tattoos and Blues Tattoo Convention to the site, however, there were some discrepancies if you could pls take a look at what I wrote there.

As for the blog posting on the Humboldt County Tattoo Convention, we try not to delete blogs, post, threads and/or etc unless they are spam, completely disrespectful, and/or break other forum rules. At this point and time it is still a civil conversation that is rather insightful from many perspectives/lens'.

thanks for continuing to update us on all the work you are doing.

  2. Hey Shotsie, was going to add it to the calendar as well but the link goes to a flyer/site for the 2010 tattoo convention so the dates line up this year as Saturday, Sunday, & Monday? Is this accurate and the year on the flyer/site is just wrong?

    Looking good homie!
  5. Thanks for signing up on our tattoo forum Ian and welcome.
  6. Welcome to our tattoo forum. We appreciate your contribution(s) and are big supporters of music and bands among other things. With that being said this is a tattoo forum so technically your posting on the band is spam when it is your first post but we did approve it. Please keep in mind we would enjoy seeing your positive contributions else where as well. Thanks.

  7. I stay with the word "mayhem". Sammy remembers the night clearly or maybe his head does.
  8. Got a Facebook account? You can hear the first song from the new recordings OFC just completed at Oi The Boat Records.
  9. So Davey is at yet again with another project. In this one the AFI frontman will play St. Jimmy in the Green Day themed Broadway play American Idiot. This man is talented and even better than that he is truly the nicest person you will ever meet! I don't think I've ever seen him not smiling (except on stage of course) or heard him say anything bad about someone. I don't even think anyone I know has anything bad to say about him, a genuine gentleman. For those who don't know Scott Sylvia has done a fair amount of his tattoos for many years and maybe Scott will share something LST related now or he won't on Davey....... AFI continues to grow and develop as a band and every album stands on its own in its own right. But the early hardcore albums are by far top twenty best Bay Area albums ever put out in my opinion. "Answer That and Stay Fashionable" & "Very Proud of Ya" are so good and make me want to move every time I hear them. Could you imagine an AFI show with only those songs in a thirty minute set? It'd be like the last Gorilla Biscuits nights at The Pound. Random fact, I also just learned Melissa Etheridge played St. Jimmy for one week only last week. Anywho, here's the article:
  10. I love that "front piece" and the fact that people are tattooing and planning their fronts like backs is so impressive. I have enjoyed your contributions thus far and look forward to more from you.......
  11. Word on the streets...... -The album is completed (Recorded, Mixed, Mastered, at the Pressers) -First fifty mail orders at Oi The Boat Records gets a free Old Firm Casuals Scarf
  12. I love Jack Rudy's quote in this article as well as the cheeseburger analogy. Enjoy:
  13. Boy band to rapper to actor Marky Mark Wahlberg is getting his tattoos removed. Yep, saw it in my morning google search for news. His music never did much for me, however, his acting in some films has been pretty good: -The Basketball Diaries -Boogie Nights -The Italian Job -Ocean's Eleven (I love this whole series including the original one with the Rat Pack) -The Departed Anyone else like his movies? Alright onto the article..... Seattle Pi Blogs
  14. Just found this: Irish Centraland did you hear Bill Clinton will also cameo in the Hangover 2?

  16. Nice tattoo, how long after is this? Her eyes look awesome. I love that it is not too bright but looks properly aged if you know what I mean.

    Hello.

Welcome to the tattoo site. That's unfortunate, here's a link on how to upload photos to the site for threads and blogs. Let us know if you are still having difficulties.
  20. Thanks for the list and link. I always enjoy hearing/reading peoples favorite tattooers from around the world. Welcome to the tattoo forum.
  21. I enjoy looking through tattooers reference books and have seen ones I would never imagine so have asked and the answers always impress me. Below are some other threads where books have been suggested: Tattoo Books Collecting Reference Tattoo Fonts, Tattoo Lettering & Tattoo Script Tattoo Archive Artist Sketch Books Tattooer's Reference Libraries Tattoo Book Reviews
  22. You are looking for tattooers in SF correct? I referred back to your introduction from the other day and as mentioned there, there are lots of good shops and tattooers. Did none of those work for you? How about the LST Preferred Tattoo Artists? Remember you get what you pay for so if you're looking for a cheap priced tattoo you get a cheap tattoo but if you don't skimp on the price you'll get a good tattoo. We live in a city like many others right now where there are shops every where but if you do your research you can get tattooed by some of the best.
  23. For all the LSTers on Twitter you can now follow The Old Firm Casuals. Also all four songs are recorded and scheduled to be released in about six weeks.........
  24. I was just reading Sboyer's response in the thread What tattoo designs can you never see enough of? and realized we have no Rock of Ages thread so here we go... I remember when I fell in love with this tattoo design while working at Juxtapoz and we had just printed the Jason Mcafee Rock of Ages poster and just being amazed. For some reason that poster really sticks out in my mind. I tried to locate a picture of it for here but can't find it so if you have one please post. While trying to find the image I did locate this video of Freddy Corbin at Temple Tattoo doing a Rock of Ages. It says it was done four years ago but guessing it has to be older as Scott Sylvia is shown in the background tattooing there as well??? It was posted by a user named xhooliganx and I know we have a user on our tattoo forum by that name as well so if it is the same, thanks. Since the video is labeled part one is there a second one that shows the tattoo or do you have a picutres? Part One Here are some other threads with Rock of Ages talk and/or pictures: Was tattooing as popular 100 years ago as now? What's your favorite tattoo on your body? Full Back Tattoo Designs Religious and Spiritual Tattoo Designs Fastest Tattooers New Tattoo Idea, Rock of Ages Lets hear and see them......
