New LST Monthly Contest The tattoo picture that gets posted in this thread for January 2012 with the most 'likes' for that month wins! The contest starts on the fist of the month and ends on the last day of the month. Contest Guidlines -Your tattoo picture must be posted in this thread (both tattooers and tattoo customers can win) in order to qualify. -Include with your photo/post...tattoo artist name & tattoo shop. -You MUST be the one who has the tattoo or did the tattoo. To increase your 'likes' or to show off another's great tattoo share the link to the post in this thread on facebook, twitter, etc. - to get votes from your friends.. I thought I would try to bump this thread back into rotation since the watermark question I think is relevant to some of the other recent LST threads/post....

@dcostello started the Best/Worst of 2011 and there has been tons of great tattoos posted in the Latest Tattoo Lowdown thread plus the numerous other places you've seen tattoos SO place a picture of your favorite tattoo you've seen and/or tattooed in 2011.... include tattooer name if you know it so the tattooer can get proper credit for it pls and other info if you've got it

Over the years like with anything stories are created, recreated, recreated (fish tales) and with those stories come people who believe them as fact. They go unquestioned and feed lies to people so lets here peoples tattoo myths you know are busted.......

Who's going to the 2012 Brighton Tattoo Convention on January 28th and 29th? The tattoo artists list is rather impressive....... If you are tattooing are you taking appointments? If so, how is it best for people to make them? Would enjoy any LSTer photos/videos posted afterwards like we got for this past years State of Grace convention........

Make an apt with @Stewart Robson and do a road trip then share it with us! I know many LSTers, my self included, would be very stoked to watch a big tattoo by him be shared with LST. As you saw from his blog he sometimes shows progress of his larger tattoos and it's fun to watch unfold. In my opinion, Japanese and traditional tattoos look the very best years later AS LONG AS it is done by a good tattooer. I think they look even better aged than when brand new. The key component is finding a good tattooer after that everything else works itself out...... As for color portraits, not a fan of them though have seen a few yes a few good ones years later.

Another new LSTer from Brazil.....welcome. Where do you get tattooed down there? Would enjoy seeing some of the tattoos coming out of Brazil so when you get a chance upload some of the ones you've gotten to your profile please...

Is Boise the farthest you are willing to travel? How about any trips for work or vacation planned where on the last day you can get tattooed while in that other city?

should be starting my back.....I think I've settled on the rough idea and Tattooer(s) I want to have at it......... BTW, very impressed with some of the tattooers and ideas in this thread, thanks for sharing everyone. I look very forward to seeing the tattoos!!!
