Theres such a thing as over-moisturizing tattoos? I have 2 full sleeves and my back done, after the initial 3 day Aquaphor phase I would put Lubriderm 3-5 times a day or whenever it was super dry and my tattoos have healed great. What happens if you over-moisturize?

I dont get whats wrong with "model" type tattoos. Tattoos are art. Art is made to be appreciated, and theres nothing wrong with showing off your tattoos, or even being "commercialized". I feel its the older clientele that make this a big deal, somewhat an elitist point of view at times I might add.

That doesnt even look real.

For tebori only the shading is done with the stick? Outline is still done by machine?

My boy has his right arm done by Jun Cha. Owl on his forearm and some religious piece on his upper arm, flew from NY to LA to do 8+ hour sessions. Jun Cha is a hell of an artists, but a lot of B&G artist' pictures of piece look A LOT better than how they look in real life. The shine, newness, maybe a little camera work and it looks amazing. In person, while still quality work, obviously doesnt pop as much.

I woudnt call this traditional though. It looks a bit cartoony to be traditional, but its an awesome tattoo. The background use on the bottom is a nice touch.

Most painful spot to get tattooed
10PieceNuggets replied to Lochlan's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
Finger...nail? You can get that tattooed? The absolute worst for me by far is the top of the shoulder. Not the deltoid but literal top where your deltoid I guess meets your trap muscle. I could BARELY take the pain. Elbow hurt as well, both the inside and actual elbow. Bicep for me surprisingly wasnt bad at all, even near the armpit. My back hurt A LOT more than I thought as well. A 3 hour outline session got me tapping out.- 1,060 replies

How do these special tattoo days work?
10PieceNuggets replied to sbhikes's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
Who said they woudnt be quality tattoos? Regardless of the price, the shop should still be doing GOOD, cool little tattoos. Line work is important with these little fun tattoos, and most importantly the design. Just cause they are cheap doesnt mean youre getting cheap effort and work. Thats a terrible analogy with the McDonalds thing. -
The shading on the right side of the "to" and that general area does seem a bit off, but overall I dont think it looks too bad at all. Cant see a crooked smiley either.

Choosing an Artist (The reality of a perfect match?)
10PieceNuggets replied to cosmic indifference's topic in Tattoo Advice
LA has tons of amazing artists. You do have to look at different factors, if you are looking at straight instagrams or portfolios, well some artists put more care into how their pictures look than others. Also what kind of tattoo are you getting? Depending on what style you want, you may/may not need to travel to see a particular artist. I feel like nowadays, people get hooked on something they see on IG for example, thinking only THAT artist can pull it off when you probably have the talent in your own city already. -
Awesome moth, I was considering getting one as well on my elbow ditch. The "tiger" stripes on the wings are a really nice touch.

Kyle Sajban from Red Rocket Tattoo NYC. Back hurt A LOT more than I thought it would.
-
Why is it the downfall? Dont think its a big deal at all, if I were an artist and I posted a picture on instagram, then yeah no filter to really show the work, but thats the only case where I would think a filter should not be done.

Finally done after 16 hours. Rodrigo Melo out of Northstar Tattoo in NYC.

That hand tattoo mustve hurt a ton!

Little jammer today from Kyle Sajban at Red Rocket Tattoo.

Terrible pictures, but finally got some color on my koi sleeve from Rodrigo Melo out of Northstar tattoo (NYC). Opted for a black koi with yellow and red highlights, the other koi on my shoulder will be similar. Also got this a couple months ago from Kyle Sajban out of Red Rocket Tattoo (NYC). I may very well get my back piece from Adam Hays from Red Rocket. He did two AMAZING back pieces at a recent convention (well atleast the outline) and his style is amazing. adamguyhays is his IG, and within his last 20 pictures has the back pieces im talking about (dragon and tiger).

My Japanese sleeve's outline was done 3 months ago. It healed fine. About a week and a half ago I noticed one line on my koi fish was bubbling and scabbing now its spread to the outline that was done 3 months ago, atleast that part of the outline. I finished that part of the outline maybe in September, and finished the entire outline Dec. The outline that was done in November is the one affected, the Dec is not. Basically its bubbling and scabbing, and if I scratch the bubble, it will bleed an scab. Quick google search brought me to a site and said its my body rejecting the ink, but will pass. Anyone deal with this?
-
This probably isnt the right thread to ask, but the other Tattoo Aftercare forum seems to move too slow. On my Japanese sleeve, I finished the outline the first week of December. Just this past week a lot of places along JUST the outline have had bumps come up and it becomes really itchy. I subconsciously scratch it, or sometimes in my sleep and some of those bumps have bled. One particular line in a koi fish scale is really scabbing again. I had no issues with healing before, and the fact this is almost 3 months old is weird. Anyone have an idea whats going on?

Ditch isnt too hard to heal, it gets swollen like a muh though. I think im going to go with a moth on my right arm ditch...we'll see how that goes.
-
^ Nice bruh, if I didnt want cherry blossoms on my sleeve I def woudda gotten maple leaves.
-
^ I have 7 roses on that arm already lol. No more roses for that arm, the thing is you see on the right side, above the rose. Those are lines for clouds, which we didnt get to finish. Whatever I get has to eventually flow with that, thats why im thinking a moth. I have a little more space on the outside elbow near the interior of my arm, I could fit maybe an arrowhead there? Im just thinking its all too random though.
