If Scott R was at home when it hit he should be fine... this was close to him, but not quite right where he's at.

I'm in Texas right now but my family and home are in Oklahoma - all of my people are well and accounted for, but it wasn't until late, late in the night last night that I knew for sure. There are a few other Okies here... I hope they were all as fortunate as I was.

Yeah - I got pretty good at "Finglish" - could talk to people on the street (and in bars) well enough - was never good enough at it to have a "proper" conversation with someone who wasn't a little bit drunk though! :) - - - Updated - - - Oh see! I wish I'd been more like you and delved deeply into one and stuck with it... Instead I just dipped a toe in, dabbled a bit, and then promptly forgot most everything I'd learned!!

I took about 1 1/2 years of Russian... was pretty good at Finnish after I'd been in Finland for awhile. Took a semester of Spanish, 2 of Greek, 1 of German, 1 of Dutch... unfortunately, I barely remember any of it!!! Can still get the gist of most romance languages in written form but aside from that all those years of language were wasted!

I did! Two semesters of the stuff, going on 20 years ago now though. Showing my own nerdiness, I was within 12 credit hours of a degree in Latin once upon a time... Honestly, I'm really glad that didn't work out and I ended up in Speech Pathology instead!!

Meaning is 100% a construct though... my knee tiger could represent "courage", or it could be about "my relationship with my mother", or whatever... it might be just that it's pretty frkn awesome to have a big ol' tiger on my knee... the meaning in it is what I want the meaning to be. I could get a tattoo of a hairy ballsack on my thigh and decide that it represents my love of music...

Attending all the events associated with my baby sister's graduation this weekend!! She's now a Master in Speech-Language Pathology (just like me!!!! :D) I'm so unbelievably proud of her!!!!

My Mom has known that I've gotten "a few" new tattoos recently, but yesterday at my sister's graduation the legs made their first public debut. My Mom's jaw dropped when she first saw them!! She asked a lot of questions the big one was "are you going to get more?!?!" Later, my husband asked "What did your Mom think?" I told him that I thought she'd been a little bit horrified - my brother piped in from across the table "A whole bunch of other people's mom's were horrified too!!" LOL!! My Mom eventually said she thought they were "nice" and "colorful"... which I think means that she kinda hates the tattoos but loves me anyway.
