Having several tattoos on my leg removed
Napalm Pancakes replied to Mike Panic's topic in Tattoo Removal or Coverup
I purchase Dr. Numb off of amazon and have my wife apply it about an hour and a half before my appointment. I will probably continue to use it, even though they don't offer it. You should have said that you chose New Look, because we could have both gotten half off one treatment with there referral program. -
Having several tattoos on my leg removed
Napalm Pancakes replied to Mike Panic's topic in Tattoo Removal or Coverup
I've been using Dr. Numb for my last few treatments and I think it works great. I go to New Look Houston and they use a cryo-cooler, but it was still pretty painful without the numbing cream. I was also unaware that negative results could be caused by using a numbing cream. -
just got my whole arm zapped!

Treatments are going as well as can be expected and I'm happy with the results so far. I plan on posting a thread when I'm done, since I don't take pictures on my own. I'm going to have the clinic email me the pictures since they take one before every treatment. I also had some gnarly blisters about the size of yours that appeared only after my first treatment. Having five tattoos done is a pain, but I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end. -

I had my fourth treatment on my arm and leg, along with my third treatment on my chest yesterday. They used the normal laser first then went over everything with an erbium fractional laser. It was the first time they used this method. -
This just put a big smile on my face. Thanks for brightening my day.

I was the same way after my first treatment. I was telling everyone that it didn't hurt that bad. I had my back done on my second treatment and thought I was going to pass out. After that I bought the numbing cream and quit trying to be a tough guy. -

My swelling was just as you described, and I'm definitely in a good mood after every treatment. I have an appointment for my next treatment on the 28th and will probably look into fade fast after that. -

My arm was swollen after my last treatment, but I don't blister anymore. The pain is going to be different for everyone and depends on their pain tolerance. I've witnessed someone crying in the waiting room after a treatment. I'm glad you decided to go through with the process, instead of blacking out your arm. I've been thinking of taking a trip to Dallas, due to all the positive reviews. -

best option for laser removal?
Napalm Pancakes replied to YOMONEY's topic in Tattoo Removal or Coverup
To me the pain was much worse than getting a tattoo. I did a few sessions without and numbing cream and it was brutal. Invest in numbing cream because the sessions I have had since using it have been a breeze. -

Thanks for posting this. I found LST because of your laser removal thread. I just had my third session on Thursday and these pics let me know it will all be worth it. Amazing! -

best option for laser removal?
Napalm Pancakes replied to YOMONEY's topic in Tattoo Removal or Coverup
I've had four laser treatments and I have pinpoint bleeding that scabs up and heals fine. I wouldn't call it cutting but puncturing. -

The removal place I go to uses the Astanza Trinity Laser and I've been happy so far. They also use the machine that blows the freezing air. -
They defiantly don't look like the same tattoo, but it looks like there is the same freckle in both pics. It's in the left side of the white hair.

Four of my tattoos are about the size of my hand laid flat from wrist to finger tips, and one is about double that size across my shoulders. They are all black and I break them down into two separate sessions. I go one month for three ($350) and the next month for two ($250). My treatments on each tattoo are eight weeks apart. I was quoted $150 a piece for each tattoo, but get a discount for multiples at once. I definitely wouldn't drink any alcohol before because of the bleeding.

I'm currently in the process of having five tattoos removed. I had three sessions before I started using numbing cream and now wished I had used it from the beginning. The difference is night and day. The thing that most people don't warn you about is the itching. It wakes me up in the middle of the night sometimes. As far as nutrition, I just make sure to drink plenty of water and take a multivitamin. I'm a nonsmoker btw.

I've had blistering and bleeding, but healed fine before my second session. I space my sessions out every eight weeks. It definitely smells like something is burning during the treatment and afterwards feels like a major sunburn for about two hours.

Thanks SStu, I've been getting my treatments from New Look Houston and have been happy with the results. I first saw them on the MTV show True Life: I hate my tattoo.

They were done back when Moms was open in Beaumont. Couldn't tell you the name of the tattooer. I got them all within a weeks time and have had two laser sessions on three of them and go for my second on the other two tomorrow.

Haha thanks. N.Beavers is back in Houston at his private studio Epoch Tattoo and L.Cook is in Dallas at Rebel Muse. The five tattoos I have are about 12 years old and about the size of my hand from wrist to finger tips. They're all black ink tribal bs that I got when I was into drugs. I've been clean for ten years and I feel that getting them removed will close that chapter in my life.

My name is Steve and I live in Bridge City TX. I've been lurking for a while and finally decided to join. I'm currently having laser removal done on all five of my tattoos. Once I'm done, I hope to get work from N.Beavers and L.Cook. It's a long and painful process but hopefully will be worth it in the end. It was actually several post on this site that made me feel more at ease with my decision of removal. Thanks.
