  1. We often advise people here to not overthink the whole process of getting a tattoo. I am going to offer you the same advice, but about fucking. There is no "perfect body" and the sooner you can understand that there is beauty in imperfection, the better. Tattoos or not.
  2. I've seen some bottom of the foot tattoos in person and to say that they don't hold up is an understatement. I also can't really see anybody worth getting tattooed by doing tattoos like that.
  3. Cherry blossoms are a similar shape to forget me nots. If you don't want those on their own you could always do something like a hannya and cherry blossoms and make it a larger piece. I'm not an artist so I'm not sure how these things work, but because you're not covering another tattoo, is it necessary to go darker?
  4. XBox 360 here. Is there cross-platform online play? I would guess not?
  5. I was heading to work for 7am on release day and there were already ten people, all dressed up in office clothes, waiting outside of a games store for it to open. I snickered to myself at them, then finally had to admit they had a point and I picked up a copy after work. Really great game so far. I'm not really one for online gaming but I'll give some LST gaming a chance.
  6. Criminal. Thinking about it some more I probably won't tattoo my feet because for a long time I've wanted Jondix or Hooper to do them and it would be a shame to just get them tattooed with whatever now just because it's convenient.
  7. @anaid Follow whatever aftercare instructions your artist gives you. As long as you follow certain basics like keeping the tattoo clean, I don't think that any healing method is necessarily any better than any other one. It comes down to your body and how you heal, so until you get a few tattoos and start to figure that out, do what your artist recommends. Anyway, congratulations on getting the appointment and have fun! Post pictures when it's done.
  8. Who tattooed you in Montreal? And yeah, Hobos and Congress Street are great for traditional tattoos. I haven't actually been to Hobos but Congress St has loads of really great classic flash all over the walls and you can't go wrong with Jason Scott or Fat Tony there.
  9. Hello and welcome. My advice is to go to Hobo's or Congress Street in Portsmouth and talk to them. They'll take really good care of you.

    Hi Everyone!

Welcome! I'm glad Kerry-Anne Richardson is tattooing again because I'd one day love to get one of those Wicker Man tattoos from her.
  11. ...and I just got selected as a juror in a trial that's going to have me off work for at least three months. Thinking of using this as a opportunity to do my feet.
  12. Why is @ian so grumpy looking? Did he just get his ass tattooed or something?
  13. I'm not sure what you mean by that?
  14. Looks great and I'm super happy it worked out! I'm with @BrianH on that spot being too open for filler. @Dan S take care, man.
  15. Hello and welcome! Check out Mike Dorsey in Cincinnati, he does top notch Japanese. Also look into Kore Flatmo, also in Cincinnati, he tends more towards really excellent black and grey, often heavily Japanese-influenced.
  16. I don't know if anybody was planning on coming up to Montreal at the end of November for the Messe des Morts festival, but TAAKE was just announced...first ever North American show, I believe.
  17. All credit goes to Shawn for converting the old tapes to digital and making them freely accessible. It is a damned incredible thing he is doing.
  18. Horitomo is amazing, but has a very different style than Shige. I think for tattooers like Shige in the US you can't go wrong with Jeff Gogue. But honestly, I wouldn't attempt to get a sleeve while working on minimum wage. You're looking at a financial commitment of multiple thousands of dollars. Finish your schooling, get a job that pays better, and then start seriously looking into it.
  19. Welcome. Since you'd have to travel to get tattooed anyway, why not go to Japan and get tattooed by Shige instead of finding someone who tattoos like him?
  20. Welcome to LST and I hope you got a Boy and his Blob tattoo.
  21. I'm not even going to think about doing my feet until I have a job that doesn't require me to wear high rubber boots at work. Healing my shin has been gnarly enough because of that.
  22. Do the douche chills count as a shudder?

    Hello All!

    Damn, really beautiful.

    Hello All!

Welcome! There's another poster here who has some work by Rodrigo Melo and it is excellent tattooing indeed. I'll second the call for pictures.
  25. Why? Because in tattooing the customer usually isn't right. Because tattooing isn't the sort of democratic activity where you have an equal say to somebody who has spent years or decades constantly working at his or her craft because you read something on the internet.
