Young tattooers currently killin' it!
Graeme replied to cltattooing's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
Alex Snelgrove tattoos at the Okey Doke Tattoo Shop in Toronto and has been tattooing with electric machines for only a couple of years. Here's a link to her instagram: Instagram And some photos lifted from it: And this is a stick n' poke portrait she did: -
YES! Seth is awesome! What are you getting? Whatever it is, you're going to get an amazing tattoo and have a great time.
-
I saw Dumb Numbers opening for My Bloody Valentine and they are the band that made me most angry in 2013. Like if you can't put any effort into your music then don't get onstage and insult me by having me listen to you. Weak ass shit there.

Before you come in here asking about "markets", how about you tell us about your tattoos?
-
Hello and welcome! Being nervous about getting your first tattoo is totally normal, and it's up to you to figure out whether you're nervous because you realise that getting tattooed is a big, life-altering thing in a lot of ways, or that you're nervous because it doesn't really feel right. I wonder about your wanting to get a white tattoo in light of this. Is a white tattoo what you really want, or is it a compromise so you can have a tattoo while not having to deal with the professional consequences of having one in a job that stipulates no visible tattoos? If it's the former, then by all means seek out the best tattooer you can find who will do tattoos like that; if it's the latter, I would suggest waiting until you're in a place where you can get the tattoos you really want.

Hello and welcome! I will second what @gougetheeyes said. The most important thing is choosing a good artist. Good placement and design follow from that.
-
It depends on how often you're planning on walking around and going about your daily business not wearing pants.
-
Welcome! I really like Michael Aul's tattoos. You should get tattooed by Jeff Zuck too.
-
Welcome! Who's doing your suit?

We're in Vancouver right now visiting my family for the holidays and wanted to get tattooed here, and figured if we're in Vancouver it's only right and natural to get a piece of Doc Forbes flash. - - - Updated - - - Nice! Who is going to tattoo you? That shop is super cool, you'll need to take a good look at those roll-up sheets of Tony D'Annessa's flash. Those are a treasure.

Me and @Pugilist got matching tattoos again. This is from Doc Forbes flash and was done by Chris Hold at Sacred Heart Tattoo in Vancouver, BC. It was a super fun one and Chris was a great dude to get tattooed by. Couldn't be happier with the tattoo and the whole experience.

Yeah, Saved has all their artist portfolios available for viewing in the shop. While you're there, be sure to look at Anderson Luna's portfolio. He doesn't do the geometric thing, for that you'll need to talk to John or Zac, but he does a lot of black and grey and the tattoos he does are some of the best I've ever seen. He has the balance between tough and beautiful down perfectly and his tattoos are utterly spectacular.

She isn't and I probably wouldn't trust her around sharp objects in any case.

Gym/Healthy turnover lifestyle tattoo design ?
Graeme replied to scatterbrain92's topic in Tattoo Advice
I can't remember where that post is, but what you said here is what I was going to say. I'd maybe only add that if you want a tattoo to mark having a healthy lifestyle think about tattoos that will accentuate your body. That's more of a size and placement matter than one of imagery and there are basically unlimited possibilities there. -
Aaron Bell is at Slave to the Needle, I think, and his tattoos are great.
-
I don't have any first hand experience with this but I did have an artist recommend using a muscle relaxant like Robaxacet for the ribs. I think the logic is that it will stop you from tensing up, so maybe something like that would help? I didn't end up getting that tattoo so I didn't try it and can't offer my experiences here, but maybe talk with your artist about possibly taking muscle relaxants to help with this?

Welcome to the forum. There's nothing at all wrong with getting tattooed from flash, though from what you're describing here, I would suggest checking out John Sultana at Saved Tattoo in Williamsburg.

I'm visiting my parents right now and my mom found a sketchbook I had as a little kid. I must have been six or seven when I was drawing in it, and I was totally stoked to find that even as a little boy I was drawing skeletons, demons, and upside down crosses. I have no idea where this stuff comes from, but at least I come by it honestly.

I like Uncle Acid's Bloodlust a lot, the new one is similar-ish? I also youtubed some Blood Ceremony, songs from the new album, and I like it.

We're going to be in Vancouver visiting my family. We should see about a little LST meet up.

No idea, we'll see what feels right then.

Me and @Pugilist just booked an appointment to get matching tattoos from Doc Forbes flash from Chris Hold at Sacred Heart in Vancouver on December 27. Stoked.
