  1. If you can afford a tattoo, you can afford to wait and save more money to travel to get tattooed.
  2. Nice looking tattoo and welcome. You're starting up a brewery? Good luck, it's a tough business. Been a pro brewer for around five years myself.
  3. Did Aaron Horkey draw the label? Looks like his style, pretty amazing either way. Sierra Nevada is a truly great brewery, haven't had that one though.
  4. Get some mushrooms and have an adventure?

    Podcasts

Your Dreams My Nightmares is a good one with interviews of illustrators.
  6. So we have tattooers who have brought so much knowledge and insight and richness to this board talking about how they don't post much anymore because there isn't much here to interest them, and then here we get reddit's leftovers because alt models, mediocre tattoos, and BOOBS. Well done.
  7. When I was getting my arm worked on last week there wad a guy getting a full torso piece (which was goddamned ridiculous: it was a four-way Harry Potter themed battle royale with a raven fighting a snake fighting a griffin fighting a badger) and it looked like dude was suffering.
  8. Thanks for all the work you put into here, Steve.
  9. I'm going to get on this, nice idea.
  10. Last time I was there, the time I met you, because I wasn't getting tattooed I got a good look at the art hanging on the walls and there is so much amazing stuff there. That Dan Higgs painting is amazing and I love that Mike Wilson rigged ship painting too. - - - Updated - - - I'm glad it went well! I'd love to see a picture sometime.
  11. Great little snake head! Congress St is such a great little shop.
  12. Hey bud, why not start your own intro thread instead of jumping on other peoples? Welcome to LST, @howse2708 what is tattooing like in Newfoundland? Don't know much about tattooers and shops in that part of the country.

    Pendletons

I was going to make a joke about how I can't afford to wear Pendletons because all my money goes to clothing my tattooer in it...but this ebay suggestion is great.
  14. Probably not a very good idea to give out the address of a place selling tattoo supplies. The cat is out of the bag with this one anyway...there was that guy who started an intro thread a week or so ago saying that he bought a "starter kit" on Amazon so shit is easily available to anybody who wants it. Scratchers bother me but I think the best way of dealing with them, at least in the context of this forum, is to promote the art and the craft of good tattooing and to show people that if they're willing to put the time, money, and effort into it, that anybody can get truly great tattoos, and that great tattoos are absolutely worth it.
  15. Yeah we have a skinny dog and two fat cats here. One is fatter than the other and she's always laying on her back with her belly showing because she has the worst survival instincts of any cat ever.
  16. This right here.
  17. Dan Sinnes does really great script in my opinion. His shunga tattoos are far better known and are so awesome, but his script is top notch too.
  18. Welcome to the board. I like the sentiment behind the tattoo, and I think you have some valid concerns about it, and I'd suggest that you rethink the idea and maybe instead of getting ten letters individually done on your travels, when not get ten tattoos instead? Kind of like how when you look at old pictures of sailors and their tattoos and how there's a story there if you know how to read them. There are so many great tattooers all around the world you could end up with a really amazing collection that will remind you of the places you've been and the things you've experienced there.
  19. Dagger through neck.
  20. Mine ends at the wrist. I was thinking of having it end a bit higher, but I thought fuck it, I'm well-established in a career where tattoos aren't an issue, and while there are going to be plenty of circumstances where I'll want to keep them covered, if my shirt rides up and shows a bit of my sleeve it really doesn't matter.
  21. In support of what @Avery Taylor said above, when I was at Saved in January there was some Tom Yak Tibetan lettering up near Michelle's station and it was amazing looking.
  22. @Delicious I'll put up a picture when it's better healed and the swelling has gone entirely down but in the meantime if you look at my Instagram (username: graemedwilliams) there are a couple of crappy cell phone pictures there.
  23. Fair enough, I didn't realise it was for laser healing.
  24. Place is like Downton Abbey. We should have a post-tattoo convention party there where everybody can hang out alone in their own room and the servants can bring them drinks.
  25. Dry heal. In my admittedly limited experience the less I do to the tattoo the better it heals anyway.
