FST: On the Shoulders of Giants
Delicious replied to Iwar's topic in Tattoo TV Shows, Documentaries and Media
I finally decided to check the site out, including @Stewart Robson's vimeo... I'm pretty impressed. They have a different vibe than the videos on here, and the Tattoo Age videos... I'm pretty excited to see more. Not necessarily are they better, but I really like the style of them.- 79 replies

Love that girl head, one of my favorite pieces of flash. Definitely considered getting it done, maybe in the future - - - Updated - - - Love that girl head, one of my favorite pieces of flash. Definitely considered getting it done, maybe in the future

It depends on the style you want. Do you want realism, or traditional? What body part? It's not always about how many years someone has been tattooing. You need to look deeper than x years. Look at the tattoos themselves. Guen Douglas also does black and gray, btw PAY ATTENTION TO THIS THREAD:http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/general-tattoo-discussion/2396-what-makes-good-tattoo.html It tells you the things you need to look for in a tattoo artist, and how to see, based off of their portfolio, if they are good or not Also, the link you provided to that guys shop; I checked it out, and if I were you I'd stay away.

I think it's a part of the octopus trend. I see octopi as much as I see jellyfish... people must be drawn to that free flowing design.

Hmm, how big are you thinking of going? And I think there's a few good artists at Salon Serpent https://www.facebook.com/salonserpenttattooparlour I dont know if you like that style, but definitely check it out

When I was 13, I had a 30 page story. My mom threw it away, thinking it was trash. I've never written something that long again -

I've started writing a story again. I haven't written one in so long, and usually get stuck like maybe a few pages in. I'm trying a new method where I'm telling the story as diary entries, to force myself to write as if I were writing down my thoughts or feelings for a certain day... instead of doing that 3rd person story, where you have to write from all angles, and narrate. I'm doing well, almost to 10 pages, and it's one of the best things I've written so far. Let's see if I can take this to 60 pages as planned! -
I love the way that healed. I'm used to seeing Marie Sena tattoos as fresh, and unhealed, so I have like this perfect version of it. But when it's healed, and the hair has grown back, etc, you can really see how lovely it is.

Very cool. Have you narrowed it down some more? And I was checking out her instagram, she's great, you'll be able to sweep another tattoo of the month contest :P

a dance with dragons is so good. I wasn't big on a feast for crows, I thought it dragged in places, still a 7/10 in my book.

yes, I remember now, got my dates mixed up. It's been a long time, when I did world history in college a few semesters ago, totally focused on 1400-First world war, then we ran out of time, so definitely alot has slipped out of the noggin, with only the base picture remembered

exactly... to me, it almost seems like fake money. you earn these coins solving math problems, and somehow they are worth something, and you can trade them for real money? seems like a recipe for disaster. I remember seeing, as a 16 year old, a picture of a woman wall papering her house with hitler's money that he printed, since it was essentially worthless. Only with this currency, if it becomes devalued, you will have nothing to show for it, not even wallpaper

Welcome! I can sympathize with you. Other in my family have tattoos, but in the whole of my extended family, I am the most tattooed. The only other people who have tattoos are my sister, mother, and stepfather. No one else does, and I have the most out of them, so it's a bit of a shock I suppose. We'd love to see your tattoos!

If you only feel like it was a mistake because of the money you spent on it, don't. If you could afford to get it, then why should you worry? If you feel like donating to the homeless, thats great, but you should be able to, as a middle class person, get the things you want for yourself, without feeling like the money should have been donated to the poor. If you think about it, you just made a long term investment. You now have a possession that cannot be taken away from you, that won't need to be replaced, that you can't possibly lose, and that no one can break.

I'm not saying I disliked his posts or that they were stupid, all I was saying is that he could have used existing threads to say what he has said. I wasn't trying to scare anyone away, or say I didn't enjoy his posts. Because I have already said I liked what he was posting! You do not have to leave because we have a difference of opinion! -

every thread you have made could have easily been part of an existing thread. I wasn't trying to be rude, but you were quite rude back. Being from my city doesn't make me rude, I was arguing for less forum clutter. And, these " rather subdued' forums are the reason why people come here. For "rather subdued" serious discussions and a community feel. I understand what you are doing, and it's not as if I thought your threads were drivel, but each thing that comes to mind shouldn't be made into a thread. You can post in many, many threads here with the same thing you would have posted in an individual thread. -

Nice story. Maybe you could, however, quit constantly making new threads? Perhaps just one big thread with all of your adventures, they are fun to read, but each one doesn't deserve it's own thread. BTW, I hope I didn't come off too strong, and I love your dog! -
Hey new here looking for opinions on fixing my large back-piece!
