I'm in the process of moving currently. I flew out to SF to meet up with my girlfriend (got tattooed by Nick Rodin) and we rented a car and are spending two weeks driving up the coast on our way back to Vancouver. We drove by Scapegoat while in Portland so I stopped in to check it out and got tattooed the next day. It's been an amazing road trip so far and a great way to transition into life on the west coast.

I just got tattooed by Cody Zeek at Scapegoat Tattoo yesterday. He's a crazy nice dude, a great tattooer, and the shop is wicked cool.

Hehe. That makes a lot more sense. Thanks for clarifying, @Graeme. You're a solid dude, as per usual.

Personally, I'd throw some more black in that bad boy.

I'm pretty sure Freddy is fully booked for the next 3 months then he's taking a month off after that, I believe, and has yet to start scheduling appointments for when he starts back up again. You can call up Temple and leave your name, number, and what you want to get and they'll put you on the list for when he starts booking himself up again.

Shit, dude. I really appreciate that. :) Thanks so much again!

Oh man! Thanks so much, dude! Currently it's only available in digital form because I self-funded and recorded all of it myself at my apartment and don't have the funds as of yet to get physical copies put together, unfortunately. :( Ideally, I'll find some label support through shopping it around who will help finance some CDs or Vinyls, but for the time being it's only available by purchase through the bandcamp site. Thanks so much for the kind words! I'm so flattered and so glad you liked it! :)

Thanks so much! I really appreciate that! It truly means a lot to me. :) And thank you so much for your support @ChrisvK too!

Those two spots are shops I'm definitely going to have to check out!

I'm not taking anywhere near as big or exciting a plunge as @ChrisvK, but I decided I was sick of making excuses and working a 9 to 5 I don't love, and I'm packing up my things and moving all the way across the country to try and make an honest go at things with my music in a new city with a new scene. It's a smaller leap of faith, for sure, but it feels like a leap of faith nonetheless and I couldn't be more excited about it!

Agreed! I couldn't tell which way this story was going and was quite relieved to hear that everything worked out in the end! Glad you guys got 'em back, @Dan S. :)

So badass...

Oh man! The stuff coming out of Scapegoat looks amazing. I'm super into the stuff Aaron J. Dubois is putting on people. I'll definitely have to make it out to this shop. Thanks, @Mr. Smith

Yup! I'm moving to Vancouver, but I'm already aware of a few of the better shops in the city and I'm curious about branching out of there to see what else is around in surrounding areas (Seattle, Portland, etc.) that I'm sure have a bunch of great talent. Also, Government Street Tattoo is a GREAT shop! Chris David is a super solid dude and a really great tattooer. Glennie from The Pearl in Toronto guests out there quite a bit too. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area or anyone debating checking it out.

Totally. His work looks so awesome. I'll definitely need to make the trip down to Seattle at some point to make this happen...

Forgive me if this has already been discussed at length, but I tried searching for a topic like this and couldn't find any info about it. I'm moving from the east coast to the west coast in the next few weeks and I'm trying to increase the Rolodex of shops/tattooers to check out in that neck of the woods. My knowledge of west coast tattooers is pretty limited to California (namely just in SF and Oakland), but I was curious who you all recommend checking out in the Pacific Northwest area while I'm living out there. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions!

Freddy Corbin's Temple Tattoo (Oakland, CA)
rozone replied to Lochlan's topic in Crazy Tattoo Stories
Temple is by far the coolest shop I've ever been to. I got tattooed there by Freddy this past summer and I'm getting tattooed by Jason Mcafee this Saturday. Super pumped about it. Easily one of the coolest places I've ever been.- 26 replies

Will do! He's gonna do a tiger head with a dagger going through it on my right calf. I'm sure it'll turn out great.

...And another one the following day with Jason Mcafee (there was no way I was going to head to the Bay Area and not stop by Temple again). I love SF trips so hard!
