Well, first, let me introduce myself. I am a 45 year old teacher who always dreamed about getting tattoos. Finally realized my dream, with a tattoo of a heart surrounded by a vine and leaves, all the way to my hand. I love it; very feminine yet expresses my vegan believes. Well... People are rude! Staring, frowning... And mainly women! Positives from men ( hubby not happy lol)... But how do you react to people ? Would it be because i am older??? One lady told me at the store i should not do this to the temple God gave me... What the hell is that about???

Anyone heading to the biker reunion in port dover on friday the 13th in ontario??? Over 100 000 bikers expected .... 100 001 with me... Lol

Well hello! I am from ontario canada and joined for the same reasons. But i just have one tattoo so far; and i am getting quite a bit of grief over it ( family and coworkers...). You have many??

Dan is right.... Forget what people say and what they think. And who says canadians are so polite? Who in hell started that one? Sorry for offending anyone lol ( am canadian...., get it!????????)

Dan... Already decided on my next one... And hubby is getting his first one next week. Mine took 2 hours and i did not feel a thing; hubby is already nervous that he wont do as well....

Looks amazing; and brave as well. Not there yet; still recup from first one ( last week), but thinking about #2 . Hubby getting first one next week; showed him your picture. Pretty impressed....

I will try the coppertone, reverend. Sounds good: just want to enjoy the 3 days on the road without worrying about the tattoo. But dont want to ruin it either; comes down on my hand, so hard to cover.

I agree; i thought long and hard about 1 inch coming down my hand ( vine) because i cannot hide it anymore. And like it or not, still prejudice out there about tattoo in workplace..... And still had it made. Will see in september how people will react (teacher grade 8) . My students will shut up for sure; they are scared already because i bike to work. Only class of teenagers that shuts up on command :)

Going on a long bike ride this week end ( port dover friday 13 th tradition) with new tattoo. ( one week) . Any product you recommend?

What about bio-oil? Any good for peeling? And is peeling normal? First tattoo....

Brand new to this forum and to tattoos or "ink" as my students would say! Got my first tattoo last week! At 45 years old. So happy i did it! A dream of mine....
