  1. I would like it more with the crown 5-10 times bigger and no text but that's my personal taste. The real question is do you like it. 'Cause you're the one that has to wear it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I think it's impossible to tell without seeing the artist's other work. Sort of like judging a finished painting based on a rough sketch. I will say that the line work looks a little thin. I like bolder lines. But again he might be planning to go back in and layer it. Did you like what he had in his portfolio? Composition and placement looks okay to me but is he going to leave all that blank space or put in background? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I'd wait at least three weeks and ideally a month before swimming. Depends how fast it heals really. It's your tattoo but a few days of fun in the sun is not worth it to me for something I plan to keep on my skin for a lifetime. Believe me I've been that guy on the lounge chair in a long sleeved shirt watching everyone else having fun in the pool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Enjoy your summer and go swimming a lot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. The longer I've had a tattoo and the more I'm focused on the next one the less I care about small imperfections. If anything they can along with fading be beautiful like a well worn pair of jeans. Tattoos are hand made. That's why I like 'em. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Maybe go for a leg tattoo (calf or thigh) if you're considering sleeves in the future. Easily concealed and will leave prime real estate open on arms and back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. You can but then you might get arrested for organ harvesting or something. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Is it a phoenix? Maybe a rework Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Let's not take the "don't talk about money" rule too far. Perfectly fine to ask an artist what his/her rate is and how many hours it will take and do the math. Bring extra in case it goes over an hour or two and always tip your artist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. You're doing it right. Totally natural to be nervous. You came to a tattoo forum so of course most of us will tell you the same thing: go for it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I'd request a BANHAMMER, but this is pretty good toilet reading, so please continue...
  12. You're getting soft,@Graeme. Fatherhood will do that to you. (I like it.) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Much better. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Not bad but nothing special IMO. Why her if you don't mind me asking? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. When you're getting tattooed at least you get that endorphin rush. And it's fun. Healing not so much Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Does this have something to do with the "millennials" I keep hearing so much about? If so, I weep for the future of this nation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Sounds like you have a plan. Good for you. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. My advice: save your money. Move. Get more tattoos, in that order. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. You're doing it right. Its just gonna get better from there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Considering its in such an inconspicuous spot I'd spend your money on getting tattooed elsewhere. I know that's not what you asked. Just my 2 cents! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Who cares? Just go for it. What's the worst that can happen? My only advice: use human cremains. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Hey it's not like it's life-threatening. And I've heard of plenty of tattoos that ended up just fine even after they were infected. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Really bummed there are no more Tattoo Ages or Gypsy Gentlemans to watch. But yeah we watch 'em too. Call it a guilty pleasure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Looks okay to me. Let it heal. If it starts leaking pus you have an infection. Trust your tattoo artist but if you're really that concerned go see a doctor rather than asking strangers on the Internet what they think based on a tiny photo on their phones. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Every body is different. If you're a fast healer I would try doing less not more. Just keep it clean and use moisturizer sparingly when it looks dry. Some ink loss is normal and doesn't necessarily mean you're losing color. If anything I would try a very hot shower on the first day to open the pores and make sure there's no plasma residue and end with very cold water. Plasma is what makes you heal but an excess amount left on the skin can lead to scabs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
