The crazy thing is how people traveled to get tattooed w/o the Internet. Big yellow phone books, handwritten correspondence, etc. Rubendall getting tattooed by Leu immediately comes to mind.

A lot of times, many of these big shops we all admire and respect do tons of walk ins. They just don't post it on Instagram. Tattooers typically post stuff they want to do more of. Robert Ryan was telling me he does walk ins at Electric all the time.

Yessir I took a red eye flight from SFO 2 JFK and got my 3rd and 4th tattoo there. So much great flash. I could stare at it for days. The pinup flash in the bathroom is my personal favorite. Krak did my tattoo in 45 minutes. I didn't know what I wanted at the time and figured it out when I got there. When Eli tattooed me we talked about Wu Tang Clan samples. It was great. I didn't know what I wanted from Eli neither. Picked it out on the spot.

I've always heard good things about Electric Ladyland. I think those dudes have Inksmith and Rogers lineage too.

Resurrecting this thread. I've been told a couple of times by friends and a tattooer that I respect that I may be going too fast. I've thought about slowing down. But for what? I've also had a tattooer tell me to get tattooed while I'm young, because they hurt more when you're older. I've also had a tattooer tell me to just get them whenever I feel like it and have the resources to do so. I kind of want to finish ASAP so I can move on to Ross Hogg status and just buy prints because of the lack of real estate left. I've also had a good talk with Kimmy Beeeeee about slowing down, that way all my tattoos aren't from the same "era", so to speak. As time goes on, I'm sure my taste in tattoos will change. Thoughts?

Thanks man. I don't feel like a traitor to my beliefs as much anymore, haha. @cltattooing came by and made me laugh during this, hahaha. Good times. Yeah, my arm was stretched out super awkwardly. While doing this, it totally stretches out the tattoo in a weird distorted shape. I'm ready for my next rib tattoo now, not gonna lie. I just want to get it over with.

I then proceeded to grab headphones for the first time ever (thank god for bad rap music, OT Genesis saves the day). I felt like such a traitor to my own beliefs! Ribs are no fucking joke.

These videos changed my life. After I saw the Santoro episodes, I booked a plane ticket to Brooklyn. And this was before I saw the Freddy episodes. I just try to talk to my tattooer. Or tattooers that are working next to my tattooer. Or that tattooer's customers. If not, I just keep to my self and look tough. Keyword: look. Still have not gone the route of headphones, and I don't think I will. No painkillers, au natural!

My lines are still raised after using Tegaderm. Not concerned, but it's so weird! Might go back to the usual Aquaphor routine.

I noticed when taking off the Tegaderm, that some of my tattoo was on the leftover film. However, my tattoo looks perfectly intact. I even pulled it off very slowly in the hot shower. Confused, but not too concerned.

That new D'Angelo album is too good.
