    I have a friend that wants her first and only tattoo to be a backpiece. I gave her a rough estimate of how much that'll cost, and how many hours we are looking at. I hope she pulls through.

    Saw this on the Blackheart IG feed. This is too good. I want Scott to tattoo my elbow. Kinda want to get something on walk-in day too. They have so much good flash. Got my eye on Flash400 stuff...

    It was pretty awful. Granted, I've only gotten tattooed on my arms and legs. But I still think the elbow is the worst of all time. The knee cap and the side of the knee are pretty terrible though. Def not looking forward to the chest or stomach...

    I've definitely thought about it. Needs to be done before the body suit is complete (which will be a loooooong time from now). RG is known for his Japanese work, but his traditional stuff is my absolute favorite.

    I just skimmed through this thread. 1) REGINO CRUSHES. He's on my list if I ever make it to NYC anytime soon. Beyond jealous that @slayer9019 goes to RG on the regular. 2) Good tattoos aren't cheap, cheap tattoos aren't good.

    I'm totally with you on this. Been wanting to get this too. Don't know if there's a name for it either. First saw the Smith Street dudes do this, so the Polito thing makes total sense.

    Sorry I didn't get to meet anyone. Carolyn texted me saying the line was crazy ridiculous, so me and my friends went and got food instead. But I went back on Saturday to an empty room. I actually got to see every single piece thoroughly and read all the little liner notes attached. Great show! I almost bought a print for 20, then I realized that I probably wouldn't get it framed or hang it up. So I put that 20 towards a deposit at Blackheart instead.

    Debating whether to get a chest piece and a stomach piece, then filler in between... Or a back piece on my front, hahaha. Decisions, decisions.

    I've been contemplating getting some script done lately. Either a collar rocker or inner bicep. I don't have any on me as of yet. It would be a nice contrast to the collection I have currently. Freddy Corbin as the obvious choice, but I also really dig Juan Puente's script and lettering too.

    I always told myself that I'd wait to be dating someone to get a full back piece (so they can lotion my back hahaha), but then I thought to myself, "Hey I can reach back there. I can just do it myself I guess." Or could I just dry heal it? Decisions, decisions.

    Great thread Carolyn! I wanted to throw Renan Cavalcante's name into this thread too. Tattoos out of Port City Tattoo in Long Beach, CA. Instagram And Dustin Wengreen out of Temple Tattoo, Oakland CA.

    Riding along with that wave of SD recommendations, Lifetime (Rob and Thor) and Seven Seas (Sergio is one of my favorites currently). But yeah, my favorites as of right now in the LA area is Port City in Long Beach, hands down. Everyone there KILLS. In Orange County my go-to spots are Sid's (Tomas, Jonty, Beam) and Torch (Justin, Kyle).

    HAHA, there are two things I want to do at the moment: pay down student loans (still paying off undergrad ugh) and get a full on tattoo body suit. While blowing my tax refund money on tattoos is ideal, it still leaves me with my student loans. The plan is to do both in moderation. Not pay off the entire student loan, but not blow it all on tattoos. But shit man, I'll live vicariously through you. Blow it all on tattoos!
