I've noticed there's a surprising lack of mention of the knee in this thread - it's not an area i've had tattooed so i can't comment but i'd have thought it would be up there as one of the worst whether it's the kneecap itself or the knee ditch.

Thanks dude! It's definitely up there as one of my favourite pieces, might even be in the number 1 spot. Tony is a beast and i'm really happy i got something from him, was awesome fun spending a few hours in the booth with him and Thomas Hooper, they're both really nice guys and kept me laughing all day. Also thanks to @Wilhell for stopping by to say hi! Sorry i couldn't talk longer but it was great to meet you.

Already mentioned in the london convention meetups thread but i figured i'd post here, all booked in with Tony Hundahl for Friday the 25th. Not set on the design yet but it's gonna be something hand sized to fill a gap on one of my legs. Probably. Maybe.

Usually i'd be around for the whole weekend but one of my best friends is getting married on the Saturday. How selfish of him!

That account has quickly become the main reason i open instagram, some awesome takeovers from LST'ers and Ross's was one of the best for sure. Credit to @Iwar for getting in so many heavy hitters from the tattoo world.

Page 400 giving me that old familiar wallet itching feeling

Should really have thrown this in over the last couple of months but i'm a lazy fucker, so here it is now. By Marius Meyer, completed in May of this year (started in December of last).

I'm really hoping to get there for the friday, i have a friends wedding to go to the next day so i'm not 100% sure if it's doable yet but here's hoping.

I had the same problem with mine, i think it's kind of unavoidable with the way your joint makes the skin crease. I just tried to keep mine moisturised as best i could but i still have a couple of small patches where the colour came out - luckily they're inside the spots on a leopard so it doesn't look too out of place!

Session 3 done, backpiece done (although we have already talked about adding background - my bank account and body both screamed in unison). Such a cool experience, i've met some awesome people, had some great times and i've come out of it with a tattoo that i have to keep reminding myself is actually mine. To think that 6 months ago there was nothing, it's crazy! Already posted in the latest tattoo thread but i had to bring it to my chums in the backpiece thread! I now looking forward to sitting back and seeing what the rest of you guys are getting, bring em on!

The backpiece is done (for now at least) and i couldn't be more happy with it. Unfortunately i managed to pick up a chest infection which put a bit of a dampener on my trip to Oslo but there's no taking the smile off my face right now. Pretty much all the colour is fresh as well as a couple of the darker parts of the skull so it'll look a lot different once everything has settled down i'm sure. I don't mind admitting i barely made it through this session, definitely the hardest one i've had (certainly not helped by illness) but i'm so fucking glad we got to the end. By the legendary Marius Meyer. Now we await the healing process.... Also that left arm is looking pretty damn bare isn't it... fuck.

Sneaked this cheeky filler in today with Nicholas from Blue Arms, Oslo. Nice little warm up for the back piece session tomorrow!

I haven't got a "mum" tattoo specifically, but the woman with the sewing machine that i have in my gallery was for my mum. She was a seamstress when i was little so i have a lot of memories of being surrounded by sewing machines. She cried when i first showed it to her, which is about the best approval i could have hoped for

Chad is such a beast and that is a great example of just how good he can be. I remember seeing the first session pop up on his instagram and it was a stop scrolling and pay attention moment.
