I finished A Dance with Dragons yesterday.... :( Time to peruse this thread for my next reading adventure!

She's not alone on that one. I know most people on here hate them, too. :)

When I got my shoulders done I scabbed a ton despite following my and my artists aftercare instructions. It's a spot that gets a lot of movement, so it heals rough. I would follow what your artists says and be careful and gentle with the scabs. Hopefully then once they fall off you haven't lost any ink. I did and had to have them touched up. Post pictures of your tattoos!

Just finished my thigh with Rose Hardy. She is excellent and every one in the shop said its their favorite of hers :) Every time I go to Kings Ave I'm reminded how amazing a shop it is. Every one there rules. Love love love. Can't wait for the next tattoo!

I always leave the bandage on overnight the first night. After that, I have no problem sleeping except for the stinging and swelling being uncomfortable. But it shouldn't stick to the sheets of your side after the first day regardless. But overnight wrapping is always an option. I would wear a tank top so that it can breathe. Air is good.... - - - Updated - - - And make sure your sheets are clean!!!!! I always make sure to wash them the day before or day of the tattoo.

Hanging out near reputable shops in NYC and wondering if the tattooed people you are on the street are fellow LSTers... Lol

But that's not like a paragraph of teeny text and it sounds like you're working it into the butterfly and flower tattoos. And no punching people who get good tattoos from this gal!

The thing I hate about loads of text is when people are fairly covered with gorgeous tattoos and that block of text just breaks up the cohesiveness and looks like a gash between their other tattoos. If you're going to be covered, then forget the script and stick with solid imagery instead.

No problem. But I think there are also a ton of lurkers too. I also am a horrible forum member and read intros but rarely post unless I have something to say or help with that hasn't been said already. Anywho... Welcome!

Really? I think I only got one or two... Probably because you didn't need answers to a question or any direction for good artists.

I think it might be okay depending on the way you say it. Then again, Oliver could have been poking fun at the word (which was kind of the impression I got from the context he phrased it with...)

Then why are you trying to ask for help on the Internet? I'm not comprehending your posts because they make no sense. If you're going to design it yourself and bring YOUR design to your artist then what is the point of this thread? Not only are you not respecting the answers you've been given by people much more knowledgeable than yourself, it's obvious now you're wasting every ones time.

Are you for real? This is supposed to justify not going to a tattooer? If you had any respect for getting tattoos, you would want to soak up the whole experience and process for getting a tattoo. I love consults and mulling over designs the weeks/months before. Even if a cylon was able to draw up a sick "tat" for you, it seems like you have a clear direction to what you want anyway. Just take it to a human and save us from a nuclear war with machines FOR FRACKING SAKE. /end battlestar rant/cylon fears.

Did you start getting tattooed before you got married? Not trying to point the finger at your relationship but my other half would never discourage me from doing something I loved despite his opinions. (He has no tattoos and no plans to get any).

Welcome! Post up some pictures of your tattoos! Your idea sounds awesome, and I'm sure you'll find plenty of reference browsing through the forum. I would recommend the "Lady Heads" thread as a start. If you let us know where you're located, some one should be able to recommend top notch artists near you.

I've never been to the UK, but when I hear "Japanese" and "UK" only one name comes to mind, Stewart Robson @ Frith St.

Ack! This is going to be me when I start doing yoga again after a month hiatus for my thigh tattoo. I'm already having trouble touching the floor since I took a break after my first tattoo session. Healing tattoos suck all around. I miss working out! I miss the pool! I miss sleeping comfortably! Wah wah waaah!
