  1. So only women's bodies decline after the age of 35ish? Hmmm. Guess I should stop getting tattooed, worry about what my body looks like, and leave it to the men to get all the sweet tats. Sorry, had to go there.
  2. I've considered getting a BSG tattoo, maybe the Eye of Jupiter or a mini version of Starbuck's tattoo. But there are so many possibilities..

    Book thread

Would you recommend reading it with the series? Or in the order King wrote the books?

    Book thread

I started book 2 of the Dark Tower series. Thanks every one for reminding me to finally buckle down and read the series. So good!
  5. @Graeme I saw that a few minutes ago and thought "that better be on an LSTer!" Very cool!
  6. I've been considering replaying Oblivion but melee style. When I played it with magic I found it to be frustrating as hell. And the hubby-to-be and I are probably going to tackle Diablo 3 for PS3 as well. Stoked.
  7. I don't think art is subjective, but I also don't think there is a proper definition of "good artwork." But when it comes to tattoos, there is definitely a definition for "good tattoos." Example: "what makes a good tattoo" thread.
  8. Idk, it's totally your decision but I would go to a different shop to get it touched up/reworked. Yeah, te artist that did it will touch it up for free, but getting a quality tattoo should never be about money. And like @David Flores said there's something wrong with the shop, artist, etc. Considering your tattoo is infected. IMO, every one recommending you "don't go back" includes getting a touch up. Just my $0.02.
  9. Who is doing your tattoos? They look great!!
  10. I would wait longer than 10 minutes to apply anything after washing. Your skin needs to dry out at least and hour IMO or you will trap excess moisture underneath the ointment.
  11. If you visit LA often you could finish a large piece over time. If you want to go big Japanese and on your back that's going to take a long ass time. I know there are amazing Japanese artists in LA but I'm blanking right now, some one here will be able to recommend a good shop.
  12. Hahaha I'm actually planning on getting a snake and peony leg sleeve because I love the look of snake tattoos. Real snakes? Not so much ...
  13. I'm so happy I can visit this thread and not be bombarded with images of snakes! Biggest fear! I started shaking scrolling through the last page yesterday... I was like when does it end???? I had to cover my eyes and try to click away Haha sorry to every one who loves snakes...
  14. That could be true. I think the news/history has always been sexist in the sense that they generalize that human = man. BUUUT that's for another thread/topic :) The NY ban has always been intruging to me, so cool find!
  15. Yup. I've had the bandages, saran wrap/bandage mix, and saran wrap only. I always keep it on overnight and haven't had any issues either way. I still cringe though when I see an artist reach for saran wrap, just because it's so uncomfortable IMO.
  16. In order for me to get all of my tattoos I would have to wear a bathing suit... not sure if I want that picture on a public forum. Sorry!
  17. This is awesome! I used to live in Center City. I hope you meet your new goal and please keep us updated.
  18. Is this thread borderline "how to tattoo"? Not sure if some of these technical terms should be thrown around... Mods?
  19. I don't think you'll find any one on here judging as long as you take our advice and get your work done from reputable shops and artists. And 3 year maternity leave?! I need to move to Germany...

    Hi =)

I would recommend browsing through the galleries here and the latest tattoo lowdown thread. They will show you the different types of tattoo images and may help you generate some ideas. Welcome! Keep us updated on your first tattoo :)
  21. Welcome! Hopefully some one can recommend a better shop near you so your wife doesn't have that experience again, yikes!
  22. Good to know since I think I fit that description! The guys at Kings Ave are in for a treat next time I get tattooed :)
