    i do jiu jitsu and mauy thai. i stayed out of the gym for a week after i was tattooed in may. i'm super anal about my tattoos healing, so i may take what i say with a grain of salt.

    i can't compare it to other conventions, as it's the only one i've been to, but seeing the rosters for other shows that aren't brighton, paris, nyc, it's pretty awesome. i'm seriously having a hard time deciding who to get tattooed by. there's going to be a ton of tattooer i want to get something from.

    It's more than a month away before the convention. Is anyone planning on going? If so, who are you getting tattooed by. I've already talked to Zach Nelligan about getting something, and I'm still trying to decide who else I'd like to get something from.

    i know smith st accepts cards. the only reason why i don't pay with my debit card is because they don't charge tax if you pay with cash. that's a pretty good reason to pay in cash.

    why? do you feel that way when you use your card else where? honestly, i hate carrying $20 on me, let alone hundreds of dollars. the only exception is when i'm getting tattooed. i had to pay with my debit card one time because i didn't bring enough cash, but that's the cost of doing business, which shops should take into consideration. it's 2013. most people i know share the same sentiment as i do.

    i agree. at least this dude is being proactive. hell, most people my age wouldn't even do what this young lad did, so i really dont think it's bad at all. like i said, everyone has to start somewhere. better to start out asking questions here before getting tattooed, rather than getting tattooed and asking people why it looks like shit.

    i would imagine that it had to originate due to sailors getting tattooed. maybe i'm stating the obvious, but that's my guess. just sailors wanting something to signify that they're a sailor and a badass?
