  1. i usually keep the wrap on for a few hours, remove it and wash it with anti-bacterial soap, let it air dry for two days and then use cocoa butter on that bitch. seems to work for me.
  2. i saw that on tumblr last night. that's pretty cool.
  3. @Bunny Switchblade i've love to get tattooed by him sometime in the naer future. he does such awesome tattoos. has anyone here gotten tattooed by JR Tubbs?
  4. nice. i'd love to get tattooed by nick. dude does such quality tattoos. - - - Updated - - - when i got tattooed by ken last year, he told me that he doesn't regularly tattoo at powerhouse. that might've changed since then, though.
  5. heathenist, who are you getting tattooed by? go with an eagle! i'm so damn glad i got one in may.
  6. between those franz and chad tattoos, there's been some quality shit posted since i last checked the thread. waiting to get tattooed until september fucking sucks.
  7. in all seriousness, there are a bunch of timeless tattoo designs that incorporate cards and gambling. just talk to a tattooer that you'd be interested in going to and i'm sure they could hook you up.
  8. haha i do this too. whenever i see someoen with cool tattoos, which is usually rare, i always try to sneak a glimpse.
  9. this is a little bit different topic, but do you guys apply moisturizer/lotion to your tattooed skin? i was usually trying to put some palmers cocoa butter of my tattoos a few times a week, but recently switched to organic virgin coconut oil.
  10. i've never had anything negative happen to me. however, i'm 26, and tattoos are much less taboo now. i frequently have people contemplating me on my tattoos. i used to feel very awkward at first, now i enjoy will usually have a quick conversation with folks. i once had a little kid say to his mom, "mommy, look at the colorful pictures on the man's arm!" the woman seemed to get embarrassed and apologize, but i assured her it was perfectly fine. i'm lucky i've never had to deal with anyone doing/saying anything negative towards me because of my tattoos.
  11. @ShawnPorter this is unrelated, but that bob shaw interview you posted was great. thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
  12. if i'm not mistaken, Krooked Ken owns that shop but doesn't regularly tattoo at powerhouse. he's mainly in MD.
  13. if i don't love baseball as much as i do, i'd just not have cable.
  14. you do some cool tattoos, just saying.
  15. this says it all. i think it's cool for OV that it's become a popular blog, which it should be. however, if you're treating this business as if you're some kinda of entertainer, you're just an asshole. now, i could be all wrong, but that how this all looks.
  16. i think for folks that have their roots in/do mainly traditional americana style tattoos, having a publicist is really fucking stupid. to be honest, i think any tattooer having a publicist is really fucking stupid. as already mentioned, if you do good work, your work will speak for itself. you won't need a publicist. to me, this person sounds like a try hard really trying to bank on the popularity of tattooing and being an opportunist. fuck em.
  17. i love tattoos that have spider webs incorporated into them, and this one does it perfectly. makes all of them look like one cohesive piece.
  18. this tattoo is so damn awesome, and i felt the need to let you know that.
  19. on another board that i lurk, apparently there's rumors he recently got a work visa for the US. i really hope that's true.
  20. Saw Stevie post this on Tumblr. So damn good. I want to get tattooed by him so badly. I'd fly very far if he came to America.
  21. such an awesome tattoo. i gotta say, the colors that zach chose deviated from what he usually chooses. he likes to stay with dark colors. nonetheless, that is a ballin tattoo.
