  1. Update: there are a few small technical niggles that are holding up the new gallery system, so it looks like we'll miss our target date of cinco de mayo sadly. We are getting close though so it shouldn't be too much longer.
  2. This forum now supports Android and the iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad natively with Forum Runner! What is Forum Runner? Forum Runner is an Android/iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad App that allows you to browse this forum using a native client. This means faster access for those users since it only downloads the actual forum information rather than all the extraneous images that slow down the mobile connection. Forum Runner Feature List Unfortunately - the Tattoo Gallery is not available through the app at this time. Browse your favorite forums in an easy-to-use-interface with multiple notification types (private message, subscription, etc) Fully customizable home screen with your favorite forums PUSH NOTIFICATION SUPPORT : Get private message and subscribed thread updates from your favorite forums in the background! Poll updates (private messages/subscriptions) from favorites on home screen - shows you a summary of which forums you have new messages or subscriptions on! Image attachment thumbnail and full size viewing from threads View a thread's image attachments in one convenient screen (much like the native iPhone "Photo" app) Save thread images to your iPhone/iPod touch library Fully search-able forums! View embedded links without leaving the app, including YouTube videos Supports portrait AND landscape mode Full posting options (quote posts, start new thread, etc) Attach unlimited photos from your library (or take a photo from the camera and attach it) Full support for private messages and private message folders Full support for thread subscriptions - track your favorite threads and be updated via push when they have new posts! Some screen shots of Forum Runner running on various devices: iPhone: Home Screen with customizable icons and notifications: Push notification updates while outside the app: Image attachment browser from a thread: Fully searchable forums: Full forum browsing: How can I get the Forum Runner iPhone Client? 3. yay for threads about skateboarding. can't wait till my boys are old enough to worship their old man carving the bowls.. i'm sure they'll make me a lame dad on day one somehow.
  4. Hello fellow LST'rs We have been working hard to upgrade the current 'Tattoo Gallery' section and it's almost ready to be installed, so we wanted to let you know what to expect so you aren't too freaked out by it! Here are some of the things you can look forward to: 1. Batch uploading - we will have the option to upload multiple pictures at a time without having to select them individually. 2. Tattoo Categories - Every picture can be assigned to a category so that we will be able to view all of the Dragon tattoo pictures (for example) in one area! 3. Slideshows - we will be able to watch a slideshow of all pictures in a given category, or member album without having to click each one - just sit back and enjoy. 4. Image rating - we will be able to rate all pictures and sort by the highest rated. 5. Sorting - we will be able to sort by most views, most comments, highest rated, newest, oldest, etc. 6. Favorites - we will be able to save and collect our favorite images on LST to a new 'My Favorites' area to check out any time without having to search for them. 7. Email Notifications - we will be able to receive email notifications anytime someone comments on one of our pictures if we want to. ...and a bunch of other cool stuff. One thing that is different from the current system is that there will no longer be the option to create multiple member 'albums' - all of your current pictures will be moved into a new 'gallery' tab on your user profile page (so don't freak out ). After the new gallery is live, we will ask you to go through and assign each of your pictures to the category that you feel best fits them when you have a chance. All existing pictures will be assigned to a generic 'Tattoo Pictures' category by default when the new system is installed. We are aiming to install the new gallery system some time between now and cinco de mayo (just for fun). There will be a couple hours of downtime while we perform the upgrade. Let us know if you have any questions. Enjoy!
  5. Thanks for all the feedback. It sounds like there may not be a one size fits all solution with watermarking - so I'll do some more investigating to see what we'll be able to provide. Chances are good that we won't find a solution that makes everyone happy with the first release of the new gallery, but we'll keep it on the feature 'wish list' for future.
  6. I am working on upgrading the LST 'gallery' feature and one of the options is auto-watermarking if desired. I'm not sure if it could be individualized per forum member, probably just one 'Last Sparrow Tattoo' stamp, but at least that would tie it back to where it was originally posted. does that seem like something that people would like to see, or no?
  7. Happy B-Day old man! Hope to see you soon.
  8. Glad you like it - thanks! Some of you may have to hit 'refresh' a few times to see the new icons. You could also try holding down the CTRL key while hitting the refresh icon on your browser to do a 'hard refresh' which clears your browser cache.
  9. Not much more to say about this, but I hope everybody likes them. Let us know if you have any trouble discerning the meanings of the new icons. There is an icon legend at the bottom of the forum and thread pages that should help clarify if needed. Enjoy.
  10. Hi Wendy, It's just an easier ('one click') way to register for the forum. You do have the option to import your FB info into your Last Sparrow Tattoo profile, but you get to choose what info you'd like to include or exclude. Thanks for asking! Cheers
  11. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We haven't made any changes on the forum to trigger what you have described, but that could be an indication of a virus or spyware infecting your personal computer. I'm not saying that you have a virus for sure at all, but it would be worth running an anti-virus scan, and I would recommend changing any passwords that you have seen this sort of thing happen with - just to be safe.
  12. I went ahead and moved the FB Like button over to the left side to help separate the two systems a little. happy liking.
  13. Today we added a new 'Like' feature - this is not tied to the Facebook like system, instead it gives us a way to tell each other which posts we like or enjoy so that other members can navigate to the popular content more easily. This will be the most valuable for threads that span for several pages. You will see the 'Like' link appear at the bottom right of each post next to 'share' when you move your mouse over the post. The forum home page now has a new section that lists the most liked threads. Once people start using this new feature, a dropdown menu will appear at the top of each thread giving you a way to quickly jump to the most popular posts in that thread. I attached an image showing what it sort of looks like. Try it out and let us know what you think!
14. I've updated the social sharing system so that is now hidden under the 'share' link which appears to the lower right when you move your cursor over any post, blog, etc. I added a few sharing options as well. This takes some of the visual clutter away from the site so you can enjoy the content a little more. Post here if you run into errors etc w/ this new system. Cheers.
  15. I think the x life might appeal more to the fellas than the ladies - I like it waaaay more than the bitchy cat fight shows. For me it's a glimpse into what life might have been like if I followed my 'pro skater' fantasy - and I'm sure I'm not alone in that demographic. I like the footage of huge jumps and wipe outs. For me Rob Dyrdeks Fantasy Factory, and X Life are tops. Jackass too.
  16. This was at the 'Cage Ramp' in Eugene Oregon circa 1989.. It was the reason I went to school at U of O. I met all the Burnside Bridge Portland guys there who later went on to build all the cement parks. Some of the best times of my life for sure. I skated the ramp you're talking about too, but my vert days were already over by then..

  17. Hi Jake, You can PM a moderator or admin the details and we'll delete for you. Cheers
  18. sheesh I'm so behind the times - here's a more recent article about Liam Neeson taking over the role from Mel Gibson: Liam Neeson on Hangover 2: "Mel's Cool About It" good times. as long as Zach Galifianakis is in it - I'm there. dude is hilarious.
  19. How random is this.. Here's the full story: Mel Gibson to play tattoo artist in "Hangover 2" Some reporters are saying that it could save his career the same way the first one helped out Mike Tyson's public image..
  20. Here is Chris claiming the ICSF bantam weight title in 2009 before he was promoted to the WEC:
  21. That is awesome. Can you find WEC on cable? I have a friend who fights in that league.
