Thanks for the suggestions everybody! - we will keep improvements for the gallery 'like' system in mind when prioritizing new feature development. For now, you can cruise through each category using the 'next image' link and hit the 'like' button on the pics you like and that will move them closer to top of the category - bringing them more exposure to eyeballs. If you don't like it, then just don't 'like' it.. (lame pun I know) Likes are anonymous, so nobody will make fun of you for liking something that may not be deemed cool by your peers. Also, you can only like something once, so you don't have to remember if you already liked a pic or not - the site will let you know. Keep the suggestions coming!

Hey Iwar - the gallery system isn't hooked up to the 'notifications' system at the top unfortunately. You should be able to receive email notifications by selecting 'receive email updates' under 'image tools' for each image in your gallery. I'll keep an eye out for enhancements for this. I agree that it should be better. Cheers

Hi Guys, I made some adjustments that should improve the way this stuff works. It adds some overhead to the way the forum runs, so if pages start loading too slowly, I may have to set it back to the way it was until we can address it with hardware upgrades. As always - thank you for the suggestions for improvements - we really do appreciate them, as we want this to always be the best Tattoo Forum on teh interwebs!

Hi Jack, You should be able to upload your profile picture following these steps: 1. select 'settings' at the top right of the site 2. select 'edit profile picture' under 'my settings' on the left 3. either link to your profile picture, or browse and upload from your PC using the options provided. Hi Britishink - thanks for asking, I'm sure others have the same question. Here are the steps to create your own blog here on LST: 1. Select the 'Tattoo Blogs' tab at the top of the page. 2. Select the 'My Blog' link at the far left of the sub-menu at the top of the 'Blogs' page. 3. Select the red 'Create New Post' button on the far right at the top. 4. Type in your blog entry and hit the 'Post Now' button at the bottom. Let us know if you get stuck or have any other questions about how to use the site. Enjoy.

Hi Ursula, 1. Have you tried using the 'forgot password' function? That should send you a link to reset your password - not sure it will work, but worth a try. 2. Are you able to log into facebook at work? some companies block it w/ their firewall..

@slayer9019 - thanks for the great suggestion! We have implemented a 10 post minimum requirement before users can create new threads (they can create an intro thread in the intro forum, however). Users w/ less than 10 posts will always see this notice: Let's see how this goes - we can fine tune as needed.Cheers

Thanks to a great suggestion by @gougetheeyes - all LST members can now communicate directly with each other to let people know when you are talking about or to them in a post. All you have to do is put the '@' symbol directly before the username (not case sensitive) of the member you want to reference and it will automatically turn into a link to their profile and appear as a 'mention' under their 'notifications' at the top of the page - same way as 'Likes' work. Incidentally, you will also receive a notification when someone 'quotes' you in a post. And finally, you will now see 'mentions' and 'quotes' tabs on your user profile that will keep a running 'stream' of such. Let us know if you have questions etc, and please keep the forum suggestions coming! Enjoy.

Thanks to a great suggestion by @Iwar we have updated the Tattoo Gallery voting system to use 'Like' instead of star rating. Now you can simply click the green 'Like' button at the top right of the Pictures you want to vote for - much simpler! The contest rules still apply, but it will now be based on the total number of Likes rather than rating. Enjoy.

I can't promise, but upgrading to the latest version (5) might fix the issue.
