Maybe you could watch the Markus Kuhn series to help you get inspired to find your inspiration. -
Thanks to everyone that replied, Yep should have waited to see my tattoo artist drawing and ideas before asking on the forums. When Tristan mentioned putting chain on there I was all for the idea, actually I thought it would be awesome. Now after seeing the pics Kev Tejerina posted I am even more keen for the chain can't wait to see the drawings Tristan comes up with. Cu_Bu, Thought about posting a pic of the progress so far but decided to wait until it is finished. Thanks again for the replies. ;)

Just realised I spelt Anchor wrong, to late to edit it.

Hello everyone, Currently I am having a kraken taking down a ship tattooed it is basically a full front in a very simple traditional style. Was hoping to get some opinions on how a traditional style anchor chain would translate as a tattoo, my artist suggested to put a chain instead of rope. Personally I like the idea of chain, I have tried to find some chain tattoo pics without to much luck, basically the chain links would look like the pic. My biggest concern is I can not seem to find a lot of tattooed chain pics so it could be a bad idea. Appreciate any ideas or thoughts.

A Customers PErspective of Some Pet Peeves
Dumpleton replied to Dan S's topic in Crazy Tattoo Stories
I suppose when dealing with people that think money=respect then you will start to get some kind of personality clash. I work in the public service sector dealing with water delivery and waste water management, Daily I work on the road dealing with disgruntled people that tend to blame me for their sewer service not working as it should, its like they think I designed the system or something, often people treat me like crap because there taxes pay my wages. The facts are when people do not understand what you actually have to do they are very quick to judge. I would love to see my customers stick their arm into their own piss and shit or get shit in their mouth or in their eyes to get the system working again. Everyone has good and bad days. -
here is a nice pair of skulls done by Nick Chaboya

The dreaded wait to be tattooed
Dumpleton replied to slayer9019's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
I am going in for more work this friday, excited and nervous as it is going to be shading and colouring on the ribs stomach and sternum. -
Ha ha I could use a small fortune to fly to America to get some real quality tattoos. Kev Tijerina, that impala looks awesome really like the paint on it, how has the roof or hood been painted?
-
Yeah people pay a lot more money for them than there true value, really they drive like crap need to much attention and usually have some kind of oil leak, maybe that is the attraction to them? Here is another of mine from this to this Last one i have finished

Thought I would put it out there as I have restored a few old VW buses over the past 10 years or so. My favourite style would be the original paint patina look, I like to fix the rust and try to match the paint to look as original as possible. If you are into cars at all post them up. Here are a couple of pics of the cars I have worked on. from this (recently sold this one) to this Another during work painted and finished

In 1999 I got a snowflake on my leg probably close to 1.5 inches in diameter, didn't really think to much about it just knew I wanted it and why, walked in asked for a snowflake the artist says ok she suggested I put it on my leg so there it is. Considered getting it covered or used in a different design, at one point it was going to be an eye in a sugar skull. Then it was going to be a part of a tall ship design, now it is a snowflake on my leg and will stay that way until it finishes turning into a black blob on my leg.

Hello Everyone, Had another session on my torso the other day and all went well, However I do seem to be having areas of stubborn ingrown hairs, my tattoo artist needed to avoid them until next time. If anyone is interested i found this cream that seems to really help clear up the ingrown hairs and little red bumps/pimples. Caron Bump Eraiser Paste 30ml - Beauty & Nails Thanks for reading

My response to this thread is from me getting the outline only, hoping the shading is a little easier. For me the sternum was crazy painful, the ends of the ribs felt like I was being drilled on from the inside of my stomach, under the belly button felt like a hot razor blade or something and I am sure I have a lot less work done than pretty much everyone else on this site. Also my artist worked on the theory of working one side of the body at a time, he mentioned it could help make things a little less painful, how this works I am not sure. He did explain it to me but i was to busy trying to go to my happy place :)

Hello everyone, I am from Sydney Australia and have found myself getting tattooed again after a 13 year break. I say a 13 year break but really I have only had one very small tattoo until the recent Sydney tattoo expo in march where I was lucky enough to get some work done from Khan on one of my shoulders, super nice guy and a great artist. At the moment I am getting my chest/torso tattooed, the outline was completed 1 week ago and I am booked for more work this friday so thats exciting for me, not looking forward to the sternum area again ouch. Anyway i found these forums by doing research for my tattoo and there is plenty of inspiration in the galleries so thanks for that. Not sure what I can add here in the forums but here I am anyway so hello. cheers
