    Hello!

My guess ... at least 4 x the cost of the tattoo + whatever buddy charges you to redo the W and E afterwards. I don't have any experience with laser or coverups. Measure twice tattoo once.
  6. 3 roses on the inside of the forearm could go along with pretty anything on the outside of the forearm. just get a big black panther and call 'er a day !
  7. Just take the whole thing off with a belt sander and startover :p
  8. My preference is the full donburi. Really like the look of a giant image taking up the whole torso with all the heavy black connecting everything together. With the munewari opening down the centre torso I like the wider 'river' look. Fits the body nicely. I think if you go chest panels you eventually gotta connect it down the ribs and go for it. If chest panels are made without due care for fitment to the wearer's body it sometimes gives off a dude-in-a-bra look. For women the butterfly-bodysuit look (idk what the actual term is?) is simply beautiful, where the backpiece folds over the front and caps the shoulders. But really the japanese tattoo look is fitted to the individual and their body. I may like a certain look but my body may be built and shaped for another look that will fit and flow better. If I were to do it all over again, I'd probably do full arms with only black windbars and full legs with only waves and rocks. But tattoo ain't about regrats or shoulda/woulda for me...I guess it isn't too late though, should be easy enough to just run over the first layer with black! cheers
  9. 7/10 sleeves is the proper term in Japanese tattoo. edit - Wanted to add that i really like the look, size/length and sleeve cutover on the chest of @otisc 's dragon arm. great example of proper research before taking the plunge and skilled tattooer making the tattoo 'fit' the individual very nicely. kudos. looking forward to seeing it done ! /edit your post echoes my experience getting my arms completed...and then years later i had the urge (and opportunity) to squeeze in some of my favourite tattoos in that small wrist cuff space. in time, my friend, those extra 2" on your wrists will be tattooed ;)
  10. @Jussaf 2 weeks is still too early to tell. Tattoos take a 1-2 weeks to fully peel but really a couple months afterwards for the ink to disperse and settle in the skin. Honestly, it looks fine and wouldn't spend energy worrying about it. We can get really nit picky on the microscopic details during healing - the best thing is to remind yourself "it's just a tattoo" and not worry about it. Let your body do its thing.
  11. Going to Hong Kong next week...so once I get back it's open season on tattoo time (re: winter) haha. I've got a bunch of fun ideas (in painful spots, not fun!) percolating in the brain so will see how things develop and how crazy/creative I'm feeling once I get through my trip. Hmmm maybe I'll postpone my return flight a few days and see what kind of mischief I can get up to in HK...my bud did get a bare-hand Jimmy Ho tattoo last year but damn it looked gnarly and took him months to heal. My wife is also getting tattooed by Jessie Beans in a month. I'm really excited, probably more excited about her getting tattooed than she is! cheers
  12. Its just normal bruising. Both your new tattoos look great. Relax guys, the lines are fine. @Jason687 go back and see whichever tattooer you jive with. Or try someone new, enjoy your time at the shop.
  13. @ligatortat trying to accentuate a small sized tattoo with an afterthought never ends up with a great result. it will overshadow and take the eye away from your new atom tattoo. For your consideration...what about your opposite wrist? Something simple and classy like a small illustration of a ringed planet and a couple of stars/dots. A picture is worth a thousand words! You know all about "star stuff" when you look at the tattoo, sometimes less is more. Good luck and en joy your new tattoo.
  14. Thanks for the post @Lance what are the armpit tattoos of ? I'm starting to think this winter my armpit tattoo vision may be the project I chew on ... yikes!
  15. @Matej Haviar dude you're taking it like a champ! mentally prepare yourself for the butt wave and the kidneys...the fun is just getting started haha
  16. @Tiresius here's a re-work my bud Scott Rusnak did.. caption: "Was honored to rework this Johnny Two Thumb tattoo today! The original was done in Singapore around 1983. Thank you Bob!! "
  17. how about the Owl VS something battle ... like a snake, wolf, eagle etc you can blackground in clouds and wind along the sides. i'm just going to leave this googlepic here for your consideration...
  18. My kung fu school's Dragon Team did another run at our annual city parade. This is my 11th year in the row! Here's a cool shot of our group and Dragon ...in front of some waves and wind - old mural from a tattoo shop I got my 2nd tatt at 13 years ago!
  19. @Matej Haviar keep the momentum going, don't stop. good job man!
  20. it's pretty normal to over analyze your tattoo for imperfections. we've all done it. meh i don't think I'd even bother with a special visit just for a touchup, the tattoo looks fine. you can always hit some of the areas bothering you when you session again with your tattooer for the next one. it looks like a decent readable tattoo, you're in good hands.

    I'm Ern.

hi welcome! seems a bit bizarre. Personally, I'd rather have finished proper tattoos than become like somebody's doodle pad. what is your motivation behind this?
