Personally I wouldn't bother with the laser path, but if you do you should consult with the artist who is going to rework that space before proceeding. Make sure your expectations are realistic.

yeah, that's a very specific art style. If the style belonged to the tattooist then I'd talk with him/her about how to elaborate on it. If you brought the artwork to the tattooist then I'm not sure how you would proceed.

That's a bit faded so should be a fairly easy cover project. 1st project to be to determine what kind or style of tattoo you want to replace it with.

Yes, and "areas of concern" would be the specific parts of that tattoo where minimizing the current darkness might help the new artist re-draw and crisp up the lines.

In my opinion, several laser sessions on the specific areas of concern - followed by a re-work by a competent artist could clean it up a lot. You'll need good communication 1st with the prospective new tattooist about where and how large and then 2nd with the laser people with detailed instructions about where to concentrate.

It will subside a bit over the next few months, but it is a dark tattoo, too. I like it like that.

Walgreens does have some smaller sizes, which can overlap. Your artist might already be planning on using it. Ask him/her.

yeah, they don't read the rules - so they probably won't look for faq/sticky, either. Shrug.

Personally, I wouldn't let that particular artist try to fix anything. Where are you located? If you're hell-bent on cleaning it up you're going to need the opinion of someone who is top notch. -
working out isn't going to hurt anything, and neither is clean sweat. Just don't let anything touch it.

white ink doesn't react the same for everyone. mine turns skin color in just a few weeks, and I'm pretty fair.

There is a big middle ground, but just a little attention to sunscreen when I'm going to be out and about in direct sunlight for an hour or more is all I've ever paid attention to, and I've got 30 year old tattoos that are still vivid.

More tattoos is always a great option for forum members. Don't give a shit about what the public thinks. 38% of them are Morons.
