  1. yep. adding anything to a fresh wound besides antibacterial soap isn't a good idea. I hope it comes out ok. Please keep us posted.

  3. Yes, but the tricky part is finding one who is TRULY capable of reproducing someone else's work as opposed to some hungry tattooist who SAYS he/she is capable. Many/most of the truly capable won't bother to schedule an appointment to reproduce someone else's work because they are plenty booked up doing their own designs.
  4. I'm guessing you mean under where the saniderm was? Some people have a temporary reaction to the glue used on that.
  5. Sorry, but I don't see any dark brown in that picture . . .

looks to be someone who has had minimal training and no supervision . . .
  7. those are both great pieces, and done well!
  8. looking pretty normal to me! would love to see it again in a month or so . . .
  9. yes. only needed if you want/need to discuss the artwork, style or placement of a larger piece. Also could be needed if you're looking to get a piece by a high demand tattooist.
  10. I was assuming you'd follow up with something above/inclusive.
  11. You don't need lotion. Dry healing works just fine.
  12. looks ok from here. If it starts getting red, swollen or hot then you might have a problem.
  13. Yep. Just make sure it doesn't get any redder or hot. Keep it dry.
  14. sorry, no visible pictures from my angle
  15. Yep, and I've had at least a couple that came out fine after looking worse than that.

    Still healing?

Almost 4 months later your tattoo shouldn't need any special soap at all. Also shouldn't be reacting differently than any other part of your non-tattooed skin.
  17. 2-3 weeks isn't entirely abnormal for return visits, but I'd expect that they'd be working on parts of it that haven't been touched yet, and that you'd have at least a 3rd visit some time later to at least touch up older work.
