  1. Yeah, try and keep it covered - at 3 days old you don't want to get it dragging through someone else's dance floor sweat.
  2. Yeah, I can't open up your link, but find someone who already has proven themselves in the style you're wanting and then see if they realistically feel they can amend/adjust.
  3. A cover is possible, but would highly depend on how large and dark a piece you'd be expecting . . .
  4. Not as far as I'm concerned. I don't use them ever at all . . .
  5. I certainly don't know about specific case long-term reactions, but while my feet were almost 100% covered in 3 layers of colors a couple of weeks ago my local go-to guy asked me an interesting question that might pertain to this subject, that being: "Are you or do you know if you're allergic to Sharpies?" Seems he has seen and discussed with other tattooists regarding occasional tattoos that take 6-7 months to heal completely - all of which seems to revolve around Sharpie hand drawn pieces. He wasn't aware of any eventual tattoo or ink failures, just exceptionally prolonged complete healing.
  6. @Gingerninja Don't fret too much. My knees were more weird than painful.
  7. You're going to want a custom oriented shop to work up something like that. In the effort of you not ending up with a hot mess I'd recommend you link us the portfolio of whatever artist you're leaning towards.
  8. Tattoos certainly don't have to have deep meaning. If the curious ask you what they mean just tell them "It means I like tattoos".
  9. I disagree. They all look good from here.
  10. cover-up. expansion. re-work. semantics. @tertia is right on, there https://www.instagram.com/mizmeltattoos/
  11. Welcome! Frankly, your artist seems hot and cold. To me, the side and ankle pieces are way more inspired than the others. The shoulder piece isn't very large or dark, so it would be easy to cover. Personally I'd be looking elsewhere to get it done. We can provide some recommendations if want to let us know where you live.
  12. Glad you're owning the communication issue, but aside from that = live with it. You've got what appears to be a quality and attractive tattoo, and trying to erase part of it isn't going to turn out the way you're envisioning it.
  13. My point wasn't what those things meant to you, but if their placement in relation to each other meant something to you, personally. No one else is going to see 2 tattoos and try to tie their meanings to each other - but if you see it that way then you do . . . Asking us isn't going to change how you perceive it.
  14. It's all about how those 2 things relate to you personally.
  15. both of the above. Take your time. Find an artist who has dozens of leg and/or arm sleeves that incorporate the designs and style that speak to you. and it looks great just like that, too.
  16. Not if the wearer is actually a hot rodder.
  17. Lol. That's probably a generational thing. Clockwork Orange was quite the ground-breaking and controversial thing when I was a teenager. Right up there at that time with The Exorcist and Pink Flamingos.
  18. There are artists who are experimenting with white ink over black ink, but it's definitely not a "clean" look. More of a last resort kind of option for cover jobs, etc.
  19. welcome, and seek away!
  20. @oboogie Awesome. And you picked the best one.
  21. Note to the regulars = We need to create a thread/link that we can copy and paste for this same question which suddenly seems to be popping up at least 2-3 times/week.
