    Hi everyone

Only a small percentage of the tattooists I've been with utilize the technology connection for deposits/calendar/reminders and such, but I do like it when available.
  2. Very nice, @J.Stell! What's the meaning behind that Kanji?
  3. $70k could do a lot of real good, out there . . .
  4. drawing does not equal tattooing ability or safety
  5. congrats on the weight loss. keep in mind that any tattooist will have to "stretch" the skin during the process.
  6. You should look out for artists working out of an RV! You don't want to gamble a lifetime of visual regret (never mind the possibility of infection, etc) based on saving a few dollars. You're going to wear the results for a lifetime.
  7. LOL. Every tattooist should have that posted on their wall with a sliding scale below - starting at $150/hr on the left and going down to $20/hr on the right.
  8. yes you are, yes it is and not relevant. Wait 4-8 weeks and enjoy your tattoo.

  10. Yeah, it's like that in many places in Europe. 20% is what I usually do, but I know that all artists don't expect that every time.
  11. send us a link to their work . . .
  12. Yeah, if they're cancelling on you and then can't match up a suitable date (especially after you burned up a vacation day) then you should be offered your deposit back. The "no time to draw" excuse doesn't sound too professional.
  13. Most or all of the perspectives you're going to get at this forum will only be from other collectors (me, too). My opinion is that strategy for approaching potential tutors and how you present your history is going to be as varied as the general public is itself. It all boils down to personalities, so if you want to be happy with your situation then be honest and look for honesty. If the chemistry isn't right you could easily end up getting screwed and/or wasting time.
  14. and appreciation of any specific art work is highly subjective.
  15. resurrection of an old thread . . . and an old tattoo! https://www.msn.com/en-us/video/wonder/ancient-female-mummy-covered-in-tattoos-likely-a-highly-respected-magician/vi-BBOQ6qe?ocid=wispr
  16. Take your time. Be patient. The trick is to learn how to recognize a good one.
