  1. Never mind touch-ups. You'll get the itch again, soon enough.
  2. Yep. this shop appears to have a LOT of turnovers, so I wouldn't let them decide who colors it in. You need to pick the artist - and base it on their ability to perform the task at hand. If you're unsure on how to determine that issue, I'd stop until you have educated yourself. At this stage, you don't even need to go to the same shop . . .
  3. there's a zillion ways to connect your chest to your sleeve(s). It could be an extension of either the sleeve art, or the chest art - or it could just be background/filler kind of stuff, too. Is the same artist doing both? If yes, discuss options with him/her. If not, maybe you'll see a style that a third artist could apply.
  4. welcome. do you have any tattoos?

    Hello

Hello, Alex. Do you have any tattoos? If yes, how's about a peek?
  8. Well, traditional would be not only a style, but would reflect on and heavily lean towards historical renditions and executions. Maybe even subject matter. To me, New School (or Skool, if you prefer) goes beyond "neo-traditional" and touches on for fully immerses itself into cartoon-like designs (which may or may not involve black outline and shading).
  9. In my mind, neo-traditional is any personal style that has it's roots obviously in traditional methods/basics. Black outline with black shading. Bold colors are typical but not required. That stay humble link complies, in my opinion.
  10. Hell yes, and the professional tattoo mindset is generally not Glamour oriented. Thank God.

Dusty Neal has a cool twist on traditional. He's in Fort Worth, I think. Any particular song remind you of that specific band trip?

how to go about = generally the consensus is that an image (something that you did together, or anything that reminds you of him) is more interesting in the long run than a literal name and date kind of thing. mixing the ashes would be an artist agreement kind of thing. quantity is probably as little as you can get by with and feel comfortable that they are in there. you'll need to start by getting a quality artist, and that search will depend on what style of artwork you want to gravitate towards.
  13. Just booked with Nathan Kemmerer who is guesting at Downtown Tattoo in New Orleans. Cicada bug!
