It's pretty dark. Laser 1st would open up a world of options, and you are going to want to wear the final result forever. Once lightened, go see Annie Frenzel in Austin (used to be in SA).
not off-hand, I've just seen mixes on instagram and such. If you are truly going to do "the rest of your body" with it'll all blend together just fine.
Imagery that is "traditional" might be a tough one. Maybe neo-traditional?
Pick a place or person that you associate with this song and start from there.
That's not the plan I'd be taking. I have never heard of either "no ink to lighten it up" nor "wash with sea salt" before.
Not doing laser? As an ex-Atascocitaian myself (Gnarled Oaks Ct) I'm curious to see what Frank leaves you with.
In this world someone will always find a reason to object to almost anything. Bottom line is = there are no rules unless you are trying to impress someone specific.
ornamental filigree would be adaptable to whatever space you wanted to dedicate to it, but I'd be careful in getting the right artist. The existing text is already a bit blurry so it's going to be tricky to blend it all together.
In that area = including but not in any way limited to Matt Black, Anka Lavriv, John Sultana, Ivan Barbosa, Angela De Rosette and Anderson Luna. Any one of them also are capable or reproducing that style (if they have an interest to do so).
Yep to both ( @Gingerninja & @Hogrider), but the latter is strictly for those tattooists who you already implicitly trust. I wouldn't recommend that for any of the newbies on the forum.
