    Tattoo regret

I've never felt that I was either hiding nor hiding body lines. I've always enjoyed watching the body's muscles and tendons move under the ink - which is/was far more interesting than without . . . and a sedentary inked body always has more to enjoy.

soon enough the question will be "am I hiding my whole torso (or body)?"

Damn. That's really well done, and a great beginning! Let this one sink in and then add more black/grey work. Congrats!

    Need Help!!!

Welcome to the forum. Here's my advice: Stop thinking about the design itself. To a competent artist, that would be their job. The part you need to worry about is finding someone competent of making the design. We can't tell from the above what your level of experience is, but while you can bring reference material in to assist in the design process - you don't want to bring a finished design in to just any old tattooist and expect a great tattoo. Educating yourself on how to recognize a good artist/tattooist is going to be the trick.
  7. White ink ages differently that other colors, but I'm not sure what's going on with the egg. The white highlights on the pan look normal. Have you asked the tattooist?
  8. Yep. It all depends on how the artist's design fits in/around your existing work. In any case many laser techs charge by the minute (with a minimum), and both of those old ones aren't very big - so hitting the black shouldn't add much if any extra expense overall for each session. They are dark enough that you'll likely need 3-4 sessions to lighten it up a good bit.

    Hello

    Hiya, Derby. Welcome.
  10. Really nice script can be imaginative if it'd done right - or you could go less literal and come up with an image that reminds you to stay positive.
  11. here you go: https://www.instagram.com/madsthill/
  12. Congradulations @Gingerninja! What's wrong with you? The same as the rest of us = not enough skin!
  13. I'm not specifically in tune with artists with that design work - especially in specialty areas of Europe, but I'd be surprised if with some research something close by doesn't pop up. Rob Borgas is in Hungary: https://www.instagram.com/grindesign_tattoo/?hl=en
  14. Or . . . find an artist whose original art you love just as much. Where are you from?

    Hello

I think we have hijacked @Kai Lo's thread. Sorry. @J.Stell Well, that depends on your definition of "time settled in". Part of that photo above is months healed, I believe - and part fresh, but I'm not sure anyone has been putting white on black like that for more than just a few years, so 10-15 years down the road . . . ?

    Hello!

Absolutely. I haven't been to any of the Voodoo parties yet, because we always seem to have visitors in town for Halloween weekend or something. Michael lives down the street from me. Randy did my back and both half sleeves.
  18. Welcome! My idea is to hang around here for 6 months or so, educate yourself on the community, the art, how to vet an artist (no reflection of your current work intended - it's nice), recognize styles and view hundreds of images. By then you should have a good idea of what you personally would like to wear for the rest of your life.

    Hello!

Welcome, Joe! You and I live in the same city and have the same quest! I have some work from Eye Candy and Downtown but travel a bit have have numerous pieces from various regular and guest artists from Texas shops in Houston, Austin and Dallas. Welcome!
  20. Doesn't look "square" to me. I like it. Another option is to get another tattoo by the same artist, and then just add to the 1st one during the same session. That'll basically be free, then.
