  1. I can't tell from the pictures what is intentional shading and what is reaction. Are you getting this done in a professional shop? By "membrane" I'm assuming you're talking about re-wrapping the tattoo with cellophane? You don't normally need to do this after the 1st 8-12 hours. Do you have access to saniderm or tagiderm?
  2. This. And a combination of styles (hard outline with watercolor shading/background/highlights) might satisfy both courts in the right design. This particular artist looks like she might be able to capture this.
  3. Imho he's ok, but not exceptional. 8 continuous hours is a long time for anyone to focus and concentrate on any task - never mind one that has permanent body markings. More than likely the offer is banking on the likelyhood that the receiver is going to tap out long before 8 hours (as I probably would). 6 was my max, and that was an hour too long.
  4. Smurf seems to have the most potential, but I wouldn't sign up there. With respect to the offer and this shop aside - and assuming you could hang for 8 hours, I wouldn't want any tattooist feeling obligated to try and power through hours 5-8 and also feel confident I'd want to wear the result.

    Hi!

    Here's a good shop in Boynton: https://www.instagram.com/aceshightattooshop/
  6. Yeah, even if you went into the shop and said "I want a photorealistic typewriter but only 2 inches square" a proper artist (and certainly shop owner) should have said "that's not going to age well".
  7. yeah, those 2 spots look to be where the artist is intentionally using negative space as highlights.

    Hi!

Hairy tattoos have their own awesome aesthetic.
  9. He doesn't seem to make accessibility easy, does he? Maybe one of the many shops he visits has some insight?

    Hi!

I would have to agree with whoever told you it won't fit properly on your arm. No problem for the Chinese characters but the little Russian words (at least in the proportion you're showing there) won't last forever. Consider changing the proportions and/or how it's layed out. Also consider an image based tattoo instead. One that reminds you of something you shared or something that reminds you of her.
  11. It's got a Jondix kind of look about it, to me.
  12. Welcome! Send some pictures of your collection!
  13. Your portraiture is pretty damn good! 👍
  14. Ha. For "artists" who can't draw . . . ?
