  1. welcome! Pictures, please.
  2. I wouldn't think so, Syd. You skin and therefor your tattoo should be ok. Just don't follow the path of the original Syd . . . 😏
  3. or, perhaps the artist wasn't adept at getting good saturation. Picture?

    Help please x

From the photo it does not look infected. It does not look like it was done 10 weeks ago, tho. Did you have some super heavy scabbing or something?
  5. another thing to consider = do you live in Podunk or San Francisco?
  6. long, slow, deep breathing
  7. Entirely possible. Not every artist does every style - and the most simple tattoos don't have ANY room for error. Post an example of what you're envisioning and a link to his/her work.

    Hey there

No matter what - you've got to let it sit for a couple of months, and what you see now might not be what you see then. It's got to settle in before reworking it, if needed. You might be surprised. In the event it needs re-working and if I were you, I'd initially find out specifically what their plan would be and then let us know (along with a link to this person's work) what that plan is . . .
  9. Historically most of my tattoos were finished from late evening to late at night - and those artists said to keep their wrapping on until the next morning . . . but ultimately you should do what your current artist says or the outcome is on you. 😉
  10. Welcome! The "then" photo will be a good reference, but 1st = how long ago did you get it done?
  11. I'll bet the monks are still enjoying this one . . .
  12. yeah, definitely need pictures to offer an opinion on it . . .

    Small Smell

and drying out won't hurt it's healing, either.
  14. I love Saniderm or similar - but if you can't live with it long term (4 days or so) then just live with it for the duration of your tattooing that weekend. It'll be the best way of not contaminating your fresh work while the new work is getting accomplished.
  15. Nothing on hand, but it seems like a cool idea.
  16. what does the tattooist say about it?
  17. Awesome, @Gingerninja!! You getting a lady head?
  18. Certainly are lots of "advancements" (or attempts to capitalize) in after-care lotions/ointments. Hard to imagine improving on the hand application process.
  19. Never heard that one. Overworking an area will cause trauma. Picture of the area?
  20. Yep. looks like a cover done by a non professional.
  21. 4-6 weeks to completely heal. I wouldn't get any touch-ups before then, even if needed.
